you are trying to get a good deck for a tourney so here iz a good start try this out its got a theme and all the theme iz warrior insect a pretty strange theme but o well u get that sumtimes just call it a unique deck ^_^

If you are trying to make a beatdown deck, you will need monsters with High atk power like goblin attack force 2300, giant orc 2200 there are many others i just dont have them in mind right now.

great monsters for beatdown decks are ------

1 - slate warrior
2 - goblin attack force
3 - giant orc
4 - archfiend soldier
5 - gemini elf
6 - mad dog of darkness
7 - luster dragon
8 - berserk gorilla
9 - dark diceritops ( 2400 atk and def damage aswell )
10 - JINZO!!!! ( POWER!!! )
11 - Mokey Mokey (ULTIMATE POWER!!!!) LOL LOL LMAO

good magics are ----

1 - mage power
2 - united we stand
3 - axe of despair

and for traps u just use the powerful ones like mirror force , ring of destruction , torrential tribute , magic cylinder , call of the haunted and many many more

if u're making it a basic beatdown (nothing special) just throw in a bunch of 1900's a cyber jar, a breaker, a magican, a jinzo, D.D warrior lady, exiled.(oh yeah and goblins or Orcs)
for the spells. just add mage power, united we stand, the works
traps are okay
