Yes, Cash-Grab. But Wizards is a company. Companies try to make money. They wouldn't be a business if they didn't.

Am I going to purchase this product though? No, not at all. $12 booster packs? Yike. If your into all foils, thats cool. But still. $12 bucks for a random 15 cards from Shards, Conflux, AND Reborn? :thumbsdown:

It's cute, and I think it'll work on the Casual crowd. I love me some foilys, but have a budget to think about and tournament-worthy cards to buy. You gotta admit though, opening a pack of all-foil cards would be kewl. Too bad I can't think of anything besides Progenitus I'd actually want in foil.

Is it just me, or does the ever-increasing packaging these products are getting bother anyone else? Double-Hook Zoom bubbles (yes, that's a real term) just for a pack of Magic cards?! Aren't these guys out of Washington State, where environmentalism was founded? Sure, sure, they gotta pimp their product, but these are enough of a theft risk that you'd keep them behind the counter anyways.

Ack. Something about me is screaming to grab one. At the same time, another part of me is saying that would be freaking stupid. I mean, just imagine the look on the poor bloke's face who opened one of these in high hopes to find a foil Progenitus and instead finds a pitiable foil Vicious Shadows instead...

you get 11 commons, and looking at your pack, you'll get at least 1 or 2 constructed-relevant commons in it, as well as a possible uncommon. sure, your rare will probably suck, but i'm sure some people would go for things like foil charms, hushblades, war monks, thoctars, tri-lands, leeches, paths!!, borderposts, etc. i think cracking a foil path in one of these packs pretty much makes the pack worth it, but it's pretty hard to aim for a single card when there are 563 possibilites.

all-foil m10 or zen packs, on the other hand, would surely earn their money back after buying a few.

however, is this going to be flooding the market with so many foils that their price goes down since they're so easy to acquire? time will tell.

If you print lots of foils doesn't that just hurt there vaule? besides what card would you want foil so bad? how long until this block cycles anyway come to think of it? Im sure its a good while away. Whats with all of these hyped pack ideas wizards? There's just so many dead rares in shards and conlfux , Reborn's cool. The best thing about this is foil lands. Only 12 rares come to mind that I think would be cool foil.

This would make one fun pack war if nothing else.

I don't think it will hurt the value of foils. Think of it this way: most foils are double the value of regular cards while this pack costs 4 to 5 times the cost of a booster pack. This = bad deal. You're better off buying single foils.
Just my thoughts.
