Default Zor Raiden List

The Shadow Sun Syndicate is the faction of choice for me.

I have been having success with Zor Raiden and his ability to give charge to all those shinobi. My unit list looks like this:

5 Grunt Shinobi
3 Elite Shinobi
1 Grunt Sun Fighter
2 Elite Sun Fighter
1 Inceptor
1 Shadow Gate
2 G-Tank

Shinobi take up half of the slots, they are fast and cloaked meaning they can secure important buildings very quickly. They are improved with Zor Raiden because they gain the charge ability. This and leadership can allow up to four dice brawl attacks per shinobi.

The sun fighters provide the best of the long range fire. There are quite a few monsters that fly and a combined attack with the sunfighters using anti air is a strong threat.

The inceptor and shadow gate combo allows great mobility and the ability to secure buildings early. The Shadow gate can also give cloak to the sunfighters or the Zor Raiden's alpha form.

The G-Tanks have been chosen for their high defense. They are used to take an important power zone, negative zone, spawn zone or sometime unsecure an opponents building. Generally if a monster has a high hyper stat then taking a negative zone is more important than a power zone in the early game.

The first turn usually consists of spawning and moving into position to secure an apartment building and skyscraper.

Any suggestions?

I suggest you post the list (city included) on the Army Generator as well so as to get some more traffic. The List looks pretty solid to me, but here’s a few things I’ve learned from the Ninjas.

The Shinobis work great with the Charge ability and Jump allows them to get in for some combined attacks against the enemy Monster. Just be aware that they are probably going to get Stomped away the next Monster Activation so either be Screened, far enough away, or Attack when you opponent’s next turn has to be a Unit Activation. You’ll be losing a good amount of Units and you opponent will be getting a good amount of Power Dice.

The way you described your use of the G-Tank seem more ideal for Interceptor work. They have the highest Speed in the game, Hover allows them to hold Objectives Spaces, and they have Transport. Transport will become a bit more important next expansion when the Shadow Sun Syndicate gets a gun-wielding Shinobi Unit that also has the Cargo ability.

Other than that minor tweak the list looks great. I look forward to seeing it on the Army Generator. Go Ninja Mafia!

Firstly, I am okay with them stomping at my monster and units dealing one damage, while I lightning strike his monster for 2 damage, eventually he will be in trouble. Depending on where his the enemy monster is and my teleport range is I can get the units back into formation pretty easily.

Secondly, WHAT?! Cargo ability, gun wielding, shinobi. Where did you hear this? It sure seems interesting and powerful but I bet the stats are low.

Until then, the extra movement on the inceptor doesn't matter too much because there is usually objective squares within the G-tanks range of movement from where spawned. The extra defense to keep that position is worth it.

I would probably still only run one inceptor even when these cargo shinobi come out because you can only use the transport cargo ability once per unit activation.

Thanks for the reply, have you got any other comments?

The Cargo ninjas were partially revealed in the Strat Guide released by Privateer Press.

As for the Stomped Units, as you should stay safe as long s you have screening Units. Screening means placing Units so the enemy Monster can't get aligned for Power Attacks. Keep an eye on it because Lightning Attack can do 2 points, but a Smash Power Attack can easily do 3 or 4 points.

Hey all thought I would update my shinobi brawl list, it is at the time NOW was released. It had improved alot, and is very aggressive, sending units to attack their powerbase.

Raiden and Ultra

2 elite S-Type Shinobi (flank, cloak and leadership)
3 S-Type Shinobi (flank, cloak and jump)
1 elite Carnitron (2 boost dice, charge, and flanked chain reaction)

1 elite C-type shinobi (leadership, 2 blast boost)
2 shadow C-type Shinobi (cloak)
1 Robo Squix (explosion)

1 inceptor (Transport, high movement)
1 shadow gate (cargo, red cloak)
2 Sun drone (cargo, satelite support)
1 Mecha Taskmaster (red command)

Noteable buildings
Hotel - underground network is good and unlike skyscraper doesn't leave a hazard behind if destroyed.
Sun Industries - place them roughly 1/3 the way up the map and make use of shuffle, discount and forcefield
Music producer - green distract is perfect for a heavy cloaked army.
