Dug through all the topics, but did not found clear answer.
Turn player priority at the start of main phase 1:
- normal summon monster
- activate SS 2/3 effects
- SS monster (inherent summon)
- Activate spell speed 1 effect ?
Why, oh why LaDD doesn't negate continuous effects ?
Frog - Monarchs - LADD

Locals 4-1 lost in top4
Locals 5-1 won
Nationals 6-1 lost in 1/2-finals, 3rd place

wait so if its a yes to all of these why can you activate Mind Crush MP1 and call something like Cydra or a normal summon monster? couldn't they just summon it ASAP and say too late.
ex POD for a normal monster. can they just pop it on field ASAP and you lose your MC option. Or can you say hold on don't do anything I activate Mind Crush declaring "said Card"

Not exactly ALL of those things in a row or consecutively. At the start of "a" Main Phase, the turn player has priority on their initial game action in that phase
Group I: Actions that normally do not relinquish priority after performing
1) Normal Summon (or Tribute Summon if able)/Flip Summon (without mandatory trigger event on field or inherent to card)
or
2) Special Summon (Inherent Summon not using chain, as well as no trigger event)
Group II: Actions that pass priority after performing
3) Activate Ignition Effect (Breaker or Chaos Sorcerer) or Quick Effect (Legendary Six Samurai - Enishi)
or
4) Activate a Normal Spell/Field Spell/Ritual Spell/Equip Spell (basically any Spell Speed 1 Spell Card)
or
5) Activate a Quick-Play Spell or Normal Trap (can't think of a Counter Trap that could be used without a trigger event)
or
6) Special Summon using a chain effect
With Group II, if you perform any of these actions, you pass priority, as it starts a chain (which the turn player under normal circumstances, always has priority to do).
So, as an example, under the current rules for the TCG, you can Normal Summon Snipe Hunter and retain Priority to activate his Ignition Effect or the Ignition Effect of a previously summoned monster.
If you choose NOT to use his or any other Ignition Effect, you still retain priority to play a Quick-Play Spell or Normal Trap/Counter Trap or you can activate the Quick Effect of a previously summoned monster.
Priority, in its most basic form, is just the determination of order of players to start game actions or use card effects. Otherwise, there would just be chaos, as each player would be fighting to play cards over the other.
"How to succeed at being a Bad Yugioh Player"
1. Good Players losing to your Mind Control
2. Luck, having the ability to play like Yugi Moto
3. Top Decking anything other than Monster Reborn
4. Consistently have too many life points when playing good players.

So glad that this doesn't happen in school. This is how we do it. If someone plays a card and didn't give a chance to chain it, they have to back off a little and let the chain happen, like it or not. And that's how we play
