new team combo?

shadowpact and villians united. We know the shadowpact 8 drop fate gives out evasion and invulrability, and VU has powers that trigger when they get stunned. If the rest of the shadow pact has a similar style the SVU might be a deck worth looking into.

LOL Very early assumption but one that does seem well founded. It would be interesting if you have a bunch of VU guys with vengeance effects and invulnerability. From what I understand, vengeance is meant to lend itself to some powerful abilities and effectively getting the for free might be a very good strategy.

I suppose, like most in the preview stage, we wait and see LOL

After seeing them both, I think it may work if you really try. But I think Shadowpact is best in it's own deck. All of it's drops are great, and it already has a Fizzle, Flametrap and two searchers.

Maybe VU and Secret Six? =P

That was actually the first thing I looked at. I was trying to find a combo, and did....this is what I got.

7-Drop = Deathstroke the Terminator
8-Drop = Dr. Fate (JLI/Shadowpact from the JLA set)
9-Drop = The Monitor

With these 3 out, put Deathstroke by Dr. Fate. Evade, KO their character. Deathstroke recovers because of Monitor, and do it again till your opponent has no chars. left. Now if we could just stall till then. I made a JLI / Villians United, using Booster Gold, Dr. Polaris, Ice, Mr. Freeze, Metamorpho. Nice little line of stallers for the team-up. Works well in a team, and alone it doesn't do too bad. If y'all want, I can post it.

The problem with the two is getting to turn eight. Neither is a defensive power house, and alot of the vengence you'll want will run contradicting to the way to get Shadowpact some life back. What are you going to do, rain of acorns? Not quite enough willpower to really keep that consistant. Sinestro will help but Turn eight's just rough.
