    Default U/G/W Venser Blink

I've been working on a U/G/W Venser Blink deck.
Here is the current deck list:

    Creatures: 20
    Aether Adept*4
    Birds of Paradise*4
    Coiling Oracle*4
    Thragtusk*2
    Frost Titan*3
    Sun Titan*3

    Spells: 2
    Day of Judgement*2

    Enchantments:12
    Rancor*4
    Fertile Ground*4
    Parallax Wave*4

    Planewalkers: 4
    Venser, the Sojourner*4

    Lands:22
    Forest*4
    Island*4
    Seaside Citadel*4
    Glacial Fortress*2
    Hinterland Harbor*2
    Sunpetal Grove*2

First off the mana fixers/ramp:Birds of Paradise/Fertile Ground/Coiling Oracle. All three are really helpful. Oracle really shines with Venser. Being able to get multiple draws/land drops out of him is really awesome. The only problem with BoP is that I sometime have a hard time getting him out turn 1 with my current land setup.

Now the other creatures. The adapts are there to slow the opponent down. They are also good late game with a Vesner Emblem out. Use its ability on itself and cast it a couple of times on one turn and exile a lot of stuff. Thragtusk is amazing. Play and blink with Venser: get +10 life, a 3/3, a 5,3 and another 3/3 on the way. And the titans, well, are titans. They combo good with Venser.

Rancor is just awesome. You'd be suprised how much damage a BoP with a Rancor or two can do. Plus I get them back, if i decide to blink whatever they are on with Venser. Parallex Wave+ Venser= 4 creatures practically perma-exiled. DoJ is there just in case I get to far behind. Clear the board then, play a Sun Titan and starting getting some of my stuff back.

Well, any tips/ideas will be more than appreciated. Maybe different bombs that I might be able to use. Or different land setup to have a more reliable turn one Birds? Thanks in advanced!!!

Have you considered Muldrifter? It's pretty awesome with Parallax Wave because you can blink it while the sacrifice is on the stack.

I ran Galepowder Mage in a similar list. It's a consistent blink (like Venser) but it also hits for damage.

With only four lands that come into play untapped that tap for G, a first-turn BoP really isn't reliable enough to consider, in my opinion. Joiner Adept might be better.

What is your plan against fast aggro decks? You don't have many answers. I would strongly recommend either a creature with Lifelink to deal with the aggro or I would suggest including Sunblast Angel. Aven Riftwatcher could work too.

Hrmm I think I like Galepowder Mage and Muldrifter, but I dont think Sunblast is a good response to quick agro decks with its 6 cmc. I think DoJ would be better for slowing down agro or maybe fog.

I see Sunblast as an upgrade to Sun Titan (who lacks good targets) more than anything else.

Yeah I see what you mean. Plus it combo's well with Frost Titan. They are pretty cheap anyway so ill probably grab a couple and test them out.

I would like to get rid of Seaside Citadels to try to get a more reliable turn-one BoP. Right now I've replaced two with Razorverge Tickets, but I dont know what to replace the other two with since there isn't a U/G version of Razorverge.

Okay this is where the deck is now:

    Creatures:
    Birds of Paradise x 4
    Coiling Oracle x 4
    Aether Adept x 4
    Galepowder Mage x 4
    Thragtusk x 4
    Frost Titan x 3
    Sun Titan x1

    Spells:
    Wrath of God x 2

    Enchantments:
    Parallax Wave x 4
    Fertile Ground x 4

    Planewalkers:
    Venser x 4

    Lands:
    Forest x 4
    Island x 4
    Plains x 4
    Glacial Fortress x 2
    Hinterland Harbor x 2
    Sunpetal Grove x 2
    Yavimaya Coast x 2
    Brushland x 2

    Changes Explained:
Wrath of God for Day of Judgment: First went with day because they are cheaper to buy but a friend gave me to textless foil Wraths.
Galepowder for Rancor: Rancor is really good but Galepowder is better and i couldn't find anything else to replace it with.
2 Thragtusk for 2 Sun Titans: Thragtusk is amazing and Sun Titan really came up lacking since it often didn't have targets for its etb/attack effect.
Seaside Citadel for Brushlands and Yavimaya Coast: Really need that turn one green mana for Birds and I rarely have to ping myself for the colored mana past turn 2.
