None of the colors looked really strong to me at a first glance and I spent most of the time scratching my head and trying to figure out what to throw in I guess the fact that I was a bit rusty after quitting a few years ago, didn't help...
My best finishers were Duskdale Wurm and maybe Predatory Rampage if I was able to wipe my opponents board with a few ceatures on my side. There was a Mutilate there to achieve that, but it would also wipe my side... And Cower in Fear wouldn't kill anything unless you play against a deck full of cheap fast critters (haven't face any by the way).
So in the end, in a terrible rush, I came up with a GB deck with a splash of white to get Pacifism and Prized Elephant. I chose it over Rhox because my deck desperately needed some muscle.

I wasn't happy at all: no evasion, not a good finisher (with so much deatouch around, I had to include Ring of Xathrid hoping to pump any of the black creatures or to give regen to my fattie so it could trample over and over again). Actually, Rise from the Grave was only there hoping I could Revive some good stuff I could kill from my oponent with the Giant Scorpions, Prey Upon, Essence Drain or, if it wasn't lethal, with Predatory Rampage. Not really the best of the plans...
And well, things that start wrong, tend to wrong and so did the event. I ended up with a niiiiiice 0 after 4 rounds. I obviously screwed it while picking my cards but I still cannot find any good combination.
Maybe blue/black with tons of sorceries/instants? I had quite a lot and reasonably good together with Augur of Bolas and Archaeomancers, but still, nothing that potentially could win me the game
I already exposed my (wrong) thinking, so yeah, what would you have done?
