    Default venser control

    Just trying to play Venser control, needs some sideboard, wich will be finished when I see whats getting more play post-avacyn.

    U/W Venser:

    25 Lands:
    4 Glacial Fortress
    4 Seachrome Coast
    6 Plains
    7 Islands
    2 Evolving Wilds
    2 Ghost Quarter

    6 Creatures:
    3 Snapcaster Mage
    3 Stonehorn Dignitary

    11 Isntants:
    4 Mana Leak
    4 Think Twice
    2 Dissipate
    1 Blue Sun's Zenith

    8 Sorcerys:
    3 Ponder
    3 Day of Judgment
    2 Terminus

    7 Planeswalkers:
    2 Venser, the Sojourner
    2 Tamiyo, the Moon Sage
    2 Gideon Jura
    1 Karn Liberated

    3 Artifacts:
    2 Pristine Talisman
    1 Contagion Engine

    Right now Im toying with some ideas. post-Avacyn, Aggro decks got A LOT bigger, Zombies, Humans, U/R Aggro, Mono Red, even mono green, and Caverns of souls is the main card, so, Im putting my Mana Leak and Dissipate on the side until the meta is more balanced

    3 Rampant Growth
    3 Ponder
    3 Timely Reinforcement
    3 Day of Judgment

    9 Planeswalkers:
    2 Venser, the Sojourner
    2 Tamiyo, the Moon Sage
    2 Garruk Relentless
    2 Gideon Jura
    1 Karn Liberated

    The only problem here, Is that I dont have any Razorverge Thicket and Im out of Magic cash.

    Hey, I'm pretty experienced with Venser/Superfriends decks and I would make the following changes:

    -3 Temporal Mastery - While good on paper, unless you are playing TurboWalkers (Rites of Flourishing + Venser/Stonehorn), I don't see it as good.
    -3 Ponder - I don't like Ponder except in Aggro or Tempo decks.
    +2 Pristine Talisman - if you are going to run Karn MD, you want to up the mana ramp as stable as possible.
    +2 Day of Judgment - this needs to be a 4 of.
    +2 Batterskull - This is a great Venser target and makes your Dignitary a true beater too.

    Hope those suggestions help.

    Yes, Temporal Mastery dissapointed me today a lot. And after some testing, guess Im running bant for that mana ramp. Let me know wich deck yo like better.

    i actually was playtesting with vessel of endless rest and i actually like it better than Pristine Talisman.

    but then thats just probably me being silly

    I think that card is underated rigth now (like Pristine Talisman at its time), But right know, the extra life is more important with so many aggros in the area.
