I can probably get on board with cutting Norn, but I stick by Grave Titan if only because his tokens come into play as soon as he does unlike Hero of Bladehold and is just a generally big creature. Considering that you recommend 24ish lands for that kind of route, I'll try to cut some kill spells for some.

I'm not sure if the decks I recently went up against on Cockatrice were just coincidentally bad, but I think the extra lands are helping.

Its not a coincedence, Cockatrice is just bad for testing.

Card Flipper
Thinking of trying to work out a deck for standard that will live post rotation and to be quite honest doesn't run Huntmaster of the Fells, as those decks are getting pretty spendy and I don't want to drop $400 to play FNM at my local shop.
Always loved tokens since the days of squirrel.deck so when I saw Talrand in M13 with the plethora of sorc/instant spell token generation I just had to start thinking out a deck plan.
Here's the list it is shying away from cards I don't think will have replacements in Oct so that the deck can survive rotation.
http://magic.tcgplayer.com/db/deck.asp?deck_id=1032679
4 Doomed Traveler
4 Snapcaster Mage
3 Talrand, Sky Summoner
Creatures [11]
4 Favorable Winds
2 Go for the Throat
4 Intangible Virtue
4 Lingering Souls
4 Midnight Haunting
4 Ponder
2 Talrand's Invocation
2 Vapor Snag
Spells [26]
4 Drowned Catacomb
3 Evolving Wilds
4 Glacial Fortress
4 Island
5 Plains
1 Swamp
2 Vault of the Archangel
Lands [23]
Not sure on the sideboard really.

Rotation-proof Green/White Competitive Token Deck--critique and improvements
The sideboard definitely needs some work, but this is my deck as it stands now.
The idea of 4 birds and two avacyn pilgrim is to have a fair chance and ramping from your opening hand. As they are all green mana, the deck is weighted in favor of green in order to better ensure their drop on first turn.
As with any token deck, the goal is to mass a small horde of tokens and Stampede your opponents before they can get superior board control set up.
The biggest problem that I've faced so far with the deck is the relatively moderate mana curve, with 17 spells at 4 mana or higher, 10 of which are 5 or higher.
I'm looking for some tips on helping this deck get better and more competetive.
The deck is built to survive the October rotation of the scars block. With the exception of Overrun, everything is Innistrad block and M13.
Thread moved to official sticked thread. - Vger

Hi folks!
I have been running mostly humans, and a bad blink deck for the past while. I am bored of humans, and I don't think blink will be as viable of an option until Pod rotates out. So I decided to try out a token build as this deck looks like tons of fun. The play tests and test hands have been good, and don't rely on god hands as much as Blink seemed to. This deck archetype also seems to be the most Planewalker friendly, as you should always have way to protect them.
So, without further adieu, my deck:
Junk Tokens v1

1 Entreat the Angels
4 Gather the Townsfolk
4 Go for the Throat
2 Honor of the Pure
4 Intangible Virtue
4 Lingering Souls
3 Midnight Haunting
2 Gavony Township
4 Isolated Chapel
5 Plains
4 Razorverge Thicket
2 Sunpetal Grove
3 Swamp
3 Woodland Cemetery
Sideboard:

It is nothing too unique, but I would like some feedback, none-the-less.

i'm not a huge fan of the green in there. just seem to me like your going to hit a decent chunk of games where you either have no green cards ever show up or where you need a second of one color/ need black only have G/W. Garruk is nice but i think he's kind of awkward in the deck list.

Has anyone used or thought of using Blood Artist and Day of Judgment? I think that the Blood Artist would make your tokens mean that much more, and would offer a way of dealing some direct damage.
