I'm looking forward to playing the Splinter Twin combo. Solid, 2-card-combo which is also quite resilient. Flash + 4 toughness makes Deceiver Exarch pretty hard to Remove. Can also be backed up with Dispel/Spell Pierce.

I guess if you had an infinite mana combo this could also combo with Mimic Vat...

Do we have one in standard?

The infinite mana with myr combo. 2 Myr galvanizers and either 1 Palladium Myr or 2 colored mana myr.

Right! So weird double combo deck in Standard with Mimic Vat backup? I suppose Splinter Twin on Myr Galvanizer is basically game as well...

We could call it Double Rainbow :P

    4 Splinter Twin
    4 Deceiver Exarch

    4 Iron Myr
    4 Palladium Myr
    4 Myr Galvanizer

    4 Gitaxian Probe
    4 Preordain
    4 Red Sun's Zenith
    4 Mimic Vat

    24 Land?

    :P

Hah, that would be such a fun deck! I'd so love to play something like that.

I've been playtesting a deck, but I'm realizing that combo decks might really struggle in today's standard with cards like Inquisition of Kozilek, Mana Leak, Surgical Extraction, Memoricide, Despise...

Note that all of them except for one is black, and all except 2 targets you. So try to do something to protect your combo. That's all you need to do.

This deck is the real deal. I proxied this deck...

    http://magic.tcgplayer.com/db/deck.asp?deck_id=829081

The deck uses all of the best non-creature spells in U, B and R to set up the deck's win condition, which happened about 80% of the time on turn 4. I was playing against a Mindcrank/Bloodchief Ascension proxy deck. He was able to go off a turn before I could because I mis-played, allowing him to Inquisition my Deceiver Exarch.

Gitaxian Probe is an all-star in this deck.

Turn 1- Gitaxian Probe for 2 life, then play the appropriate land based on what your opponent revealed.

If he's showing non-creature spells, play untapped black and Duress
If he's showing creature spells, play untapped black and inquisition
If he's showing nothing that will disrupt your win-con, then play a untapped blue and preordian or play a ETB tapped land.

Because of all of the early hand disruption, Surgical Extraction could possibly shine, though i didn't sideboard any of the 15.

Despise also seems like a good MD card as well. maybe over Duress?

A super-fun deck to play, but not so much for your opponent.

    Thoughts?
