Now I'm posting this to see if I'm right in determining whether or not lets say Giant Rat or any battle recruiter for that matter will lose its timing vs. Shura and vice versa.
Here's one scenario:
I'm turn player. I have a Giant Rat and attack it into a Shura.
Am I correct in assuming-
Chain Link 1: Giant Rat hits the Graveyard and ability activates.
Chain Link 2: Shura the Blue Flame activates second and resolves before Giant Rat.
Chain Link 3: Timing to use my Solemn Warning in response to Shura's effect.
What my opponent Cant do: On chain Link 2 if he decides to activate Solemn Warning directly in response to my Rat, I assume Shura the Blue Flame's timing on his optional effect will be missed.
Situation 2: My opponent's turn and his Shura attacks my Giant Rat:
Chain Link 1: Giant Rat hits the Graveyard, but Shura's ability activates first.
Chain Link 2: Giant Rat's ability Activates
Chain Link 3: Timing for opponent to use Solemn Warning in response to my Giant Rat's ability to activate.
What I can't do: On Chain Link 2, I can't activate my own Solemn Warning if I choose to use Giant Rat's effect.
OVERALL MY QUESTION IS THIS? Am I interpreting this right? Like these are all optional effects besides the warning, and since Solemn Warning can only be chained directly to an effect, I believe it would resolve this way in either case. Typically speaking, What I want to say is that The Turn player in this scenario gets to be able to get their special summon in while being able to negate the opponent's special summon in the case of Shura vs. REcruiter.
I guess I'd imagine the same in REcruiter Vs. REcruiter Scenarios such as if I crashed Giant Rat into Mystic Tomato on my turn, I'd be able to Solemn WArning the Mystic Tomato since my Rat would be Chain link 1, Tomato Chain link 2, and my warning Chain Link 3 directly in response to Tomato's effect.
