    Talking WUB Venser Control Lock

With the tinkering around with Blue Black Control and seeing my friends Venser Frost deck, I would love to build a deck around the 3 colors with as many if not all the elements for the locks that they can produce.

I will make a list first of the cards and then will post a first draft later as I am doing this from work...lol.

    The Lock Cards
    Venser, The Sojouner
    Silence
    Mnemonic Wall
    Frost Titan

The cards that I want to also use
    Lux Cannon
    Skinrender
Mimic Vat (with frost or Skinrender or even bala ged thief tricks)
Volition Reins (would love to play with four if it could be viable)
    Spreading Seas
Duress (love taking Jace out of their hand first turn)
Regress (my friend hates when a colonnade goes back to his hand)
    Sadistic Sacrement/Memoricide

There are many more of course and will make a first draft Proposal to hopefully get some people working on here.

Some thoughts about some of the cards......

Lux Cannon - When playing in MUC Artifact Lux decks I always ended up putting the fourth cannon in....The sickness involved when it hits play and starts untapping/proliferating has been making warm feelings in my heart.....(or is that the burrito I had earlier) I have had my friends playing with counters repeatedly say "I have to counter voltaics...that sucks". My current MUC Art runs four slots of each the trinket/voltaic/lux and I always want more.

Duress - (I will now refer to me and my friends as GROG so as to not type so much) We have been having the discussion lately over which discard to run, and I am sure someone will direct me to an article by some "pro" that goes over the situations. I am a personal fan of Duress and Inquisition of Kozilek does NOT get Jace 2.0 (The strongest card in magic at moment). GROG has also made mention of Mire's Toll but unless playing MBC I see no reason to use it.

Venser/Silence/Frost/Mnemonic Lock - I see decks running pieces of these four cards but never all four. Why is that? It seems the best way to FRACK them down.

Mimic Vat/Skinrender/Frost/Mnemonic - The Vat and Venser work similarly for this deck idea.

Volition Reins - so many times in control with GROG it has been this card that swings the game.

Would love some (NON-FLAMING) constructive comments towards a build with these. Again, will post a first draft later today.

If someone has a link to another post of a similar deck please post it also.

    Thanks

    Default Starting Deck List

    WUB Venser LockDown

    3 Venser, the Sojourner
    2 Frost Titan
    2 Mnemonic Wall
    3 Skinrender
    2 Sun Titan
    2 Trinket Mage

    3 Silence
    2 Lux Cannon
    4 Spreading Seas
    3 Duress
    1 Sadistic Sacrament
    2 Mimic Vat
    2 Voltaic Key
    3 Everflowing Chalice
    2 Volition Reins

    4 Halimar Depths
    4 Terramorphic Expanse
    4 Evolving Winds
    4 Swamp
    4 Island
    4 Plains

This is just a first draft....

I know there are no mana leaks...this is a diff try at a lock and the Duress and silences should help Negate the counters.
Land would have to be tinkered with.
The Sun Titan is added to bring back mimic as it will probably be the main target as time goes by. Then put a Sun Titan under it...lol

Also thought of fun with some stuff.... correct my numbers here if wrong.... 11 mana (with everflowing and stall it may lol happen) with mimic/key in play ....cast Skinrender targeting itself/put in vat/tap vat to put one out targeting a titan/untap vat with key/tap vat to skinrend again to kill titan....putting titan (mine or theirs) under vat. Just some sillyness I thought of while walking down street earlier.
