Are there any slivers I should take out in favor of more of some others? Do I need more counters?

There are a lot of directions you can take this deck. If you want to take it more in the direction of aggro-control, you could try something like this:

My advice is don't play slivers if you like having friends.

Counter Slivers doesn't work like either of those lists. The following cards are mandatory in every good Counter Sliver list:

4 Crystalline Sliver
4 Muscle Sliver
4 Winged Sliver
4 Hibernation Sliver

4 Force of Will
4 Mana Drain
4 AEther Vial
4 Swords to Plowshares/Path to Exile

Other cards that are usually included: Daze, Counterspell, Meddling Mage.

The point of Counter Slivers is to build up your army while countering spells. Simple as that.
