    Default Rules / FAQ

Feel free to post a question below, and if needed, I'll add it to the FAQ. If you have a comment on the rules, let me know.
    1. No illegal Pokemon. Period. If you're Pokemon's illegal, and you use it in one of the tournaments, you'll be banned from the tournaments for a month. Pokesav'ed Pokemon are fine, but keep the move-sets, EV's, and I'Vs legal.
    2. Only use appropriately tiered Pokemon for that tier tournament. If no tier is specified, you're free to use whatever Pokemon you want to, but if a specific tier is listed, you may only use Pokemon of that tier. Tiers can be found here.
    3. If you lose a match, you lost that match. Don't complain, don't disconnect, and be respectful. If innapropriate conduct is reported, you'll be banned from the tournaments for two weeks.
    4. Don't create a tournament without permission from Kris or one of the TO's [Applications to be a TO will be posted soon].
    5. As always, have fun!

    FAQ:

Q: What if I have to drop-out of a tournament?
A: Let Kris or one of the TO's know; if you don't drop out of every tournament you enter, and you have an excuse other than "I was bored of it", you'll be fine.

Q: How can I create my own tournament?
A: Contact Kris, or one of the TO's, and we'll say yes or no. As long as you're organized and committed, it'll usually be a yes.

Q: Will I be banned if my Wi-Fi disconnects, but I didn't mean for it to?
A: Of course not. Let Kris or one of the TO's know, and if it isn't the twentieth time that week it's happened, we'll be fine, and you and you're partner can arrange another time to battle.

    Q: What are Live Tournaments?
A: Live Tournaments are exactly that -- tournaments that start at a set time period, and continue through that day or night until we have a winner. Live Tournaments are similar to the Weekly Tournaments, but are usually un-announced.

Q: Where can I find out more on competitive Pokemon?
A: Smogon University always has helpful information, and soon, I'll have a Peer2Tutor program up, if enough users are interested.

What do you consider "hacked"? Any pokesav'd pokemon or just illegal pokemon (illegal movesets, ivs, evs, etc.)?
This is it, brother; Our final moment. The battle has ended, but we are not yet free! The war is over... but you and I still have a score to settle.

    Phantom2250: Pokesav'ed, Action Replay'ed, and any other machine-created Pokemon.

If you're unsure if a Pokemon is hacked, let me know, and I'll check it out for you.

That's rather ridiculous. Lots of players use pokesav'd pokemon. What's wrong with them if they're not illegal?

Kris, that pokesaved rule is utter bull****. There is nothing wrong with Pokesav as long as the pokemon created aren't illegal.

I demand you change that rule immediately. Many people don't have the time or patience to EV train pokemon, which is where Pokesav comes into play. I am prepared to Pokesav for some people, and I suggest you change the rule, or I will take over the operations and run this myself.

Andurill38: I'll edit the rule, but if the Pokemon aren't real, they won't be allowed.

But next time, I'd prefer if you didnt demand I edit a rule.

    Hehe...... Sorry about that.

What do you mean by "not real"?

I suggest the rule should change to be "No illegal pokemon. Only legal movesets, abilities and EVs permitted".

    Anduril38: No problem.

I edited the rule; you can see it above.

Much better. These are the main standard rules btw thought you'd wanna post them up.

    - No Ubers (Mew, Mewtwo, Ho-oh, Lugia, Kyogre, Groudon, Latios, Rayquaza, Deoxys (all forms) Palkia, Dialga, Giratina, Manaphy, Darkrai,Garchomp Arceus, Wobbuffet) Unless it's an Uber battle of course
    - Sleep Clause (You cannot use a sleep move on an enemy Pokemon if one or more of their party is already asleep.)
    - No Hax Items (You cannot use the items "Quick Claw," "Focus Band," "Razor Claw," "Scope Lens," "Razor Fang," "King's Rock," "Brightpowder," or "Lax Incense.")
    - Species Clause (You cannot use more than 1 of the same species of Pokemon in your team.)
    - Evasion Clause (You cannot use moves that raise evasion, such as Double Team or Minimize.)
    - OHKO Clause (You may not use moves that have a chance to one hit ko, such as Fissure)
    - Explosion Clause (If both players go to 0 Pokemon at the same time, the controller of the move that KOed them loses. This is the case with Explosion, Self Destruct, Perish Song, Destiny Bond, Sandstorm, etc.)
    - No illegal hacks (etc EVS over 510, illegal movesets).

Anduril38: I'll add that list to the rules for the Shoddy Battle tournaments.

The Rules / FAQ here are for any tournament, including Uber and No-Clause tournaments, so it'd be unnecessary.
