Default How do you beat Red Deck wins?

    So i play a W/B/U mill deck,
    http://forum.tcgplayer.com/showthread.php?t=215503

I've switched a few cards out to play him ()
and my buddy plays a R kill your turn 4 or turn 5 if i draw badly.
    http://magic.tcgplayer.com/db/deck.asp?deck_id=503503

So of course a mill deck is poorly suited to fight someone like this. But how does anyone beat a deck that swings for 12 before ive placed my third land? And then he easily swings for 8 on turn 4.

Sometimes i manage to wrath of god when i put my fourth land down, but then he just burst lightning or lightning bolts me down the last few damage.

Is there anyway for a deck to abuse these cards.

For your deck specifically, Path to Exile or Celestial Purge is great for stopping fast guys. In general, mono-red runs a pretty tight plan, and any sort of disruption makes it much harder for them to win, be it a Fog effect or a burn spell when they swing with a Ball Lightning, or a Rhox War Monk or Wall of Reverence to gain life and stall into a late game that they simply can't handle.

Dragon's claw only really works if you're playing red spells as well. Otherwise, the math just doesn't keep you above water.

Kor firewalker's pretty good. Typically RDW is just weak against efficient 1cmc removal, but given that your entire gameplan revoloves around full boats of Howling Mine and Font of mythos, I'd consider going turbofog and running 12 Fog spells and 4 flashfreezes. Save them for the siege-gang commanders.
