Equipment cost decrease?

I'm fairly new to this game and don't have a lot of knowledge of all of the cards, so I need some help brainstorming please.

I'm trying to make a deck that makes equipment either really cheap to play or free, so I can play high-cost equipments earlier on in the game. What cards or card combos make equipment free or cheaper? Also, if there are cards that let you search your deck/search 5 cards or something for equipment, please list those too. Thanks a lot!

Searching:
Herod's Shoulder
Girdle of Razuvius
Short John Mithril
Gear Upgrade
Various quests let you look at the top 3-4 cards, eg big game hunter.
