    It's quite possible that Counterspell will never be reprinted again. This sometimes conditional counter would be a good replacement.

    Its true, In fact, my classmates say that 7th ed is the end of the counterspell. Counterspell is one of the backbones of most extended controll decks. A good example would be Carlos Romao's Psychatog deck which landed him the 2002 world champion. Its such a pity that counterspell has to go....

    Yo, It sounds fair to me. 2 for 2, sounds fair. its better than 2 for gone. This also puts a little weight on none MUC decks.
