well, classic would be the one for me; It's not that I hate the cultural stuff lol I actually like some of it it's just that I find it hard to stay more than 2 hours on a chair listening to it XD

I'd be interested to know why those who dislike metal do so. I can get on board with most of the other suggestions, but I'm very interested in outsiders' perceptions of metal/hardcore/screamo. I wrote an article about it last year for university, but I'm always interested to learn more.

Don't worry, no flaming will be incurred. I dislike quite a lot of metal too, but I would wager it's for different reasons altogether...

Doesn't usually sound nice to me. I don't like screaming/loud yelling as music. I do like System of a Down, but I've listened to different groups/people and dislike most of it.

I don't really like any of the urban genres, Hip-Ho, RnB, Rap, that sort of stuff.

Why does everybody not like country? Actually pretty nice music. Unless you mean modern country. That's just pop music with acoustic guitar.

Opera? My teacher used to lay that in teh middle of class because "she liked it" and thought that "it helps you to learn when there is music playing." While I sort of agree with that, hearing someone scream LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAA at you when you're writing a test worth 15% and you are trying to concentrate.... gets annoying... true story :P
