    Default Merfolk Sovereign

    New Merfolk Lord!

    Merfolk Sovereign 1UU
    Creature -- Merfolk (R)
Other Merfolk creatures you control get +1/+1.
Tap: Target Merfolk creature is unblockable this turn.
    2/2

Makes for lots of fun with Chameleon Colossus, but I am not sure if it is better than Lord of Atlantis.

Pick up a set of these and a set of Wake Thrasers; add a method of tapping all of your creatures; tap all your lands and merfolk at the end of your opponents turn. During your untap Wake Thrasher gets huge; then becomes unblockable. Good game.

    Yay merfolk.

There's a reason Pathmage was restricted to creatures with power 2 or less...now with Runed Stalactite practically anything is deadly.

Meh, I still prefer my Reejereyz. Leading to near-inifinite mana and creatures by turn 3 if I get lucky. And with that, a way to tap down all of your opponents field every turn. Playing creatures that give you more mana is never a bad thing.

I love plopping down your entire hand of merfolk on turn 3-4... and I don't know if my current list can allow room for Sovereign =S

Usually the unblockable-ness would be irrelevant with the more aggro build since, as NessOnett mentioned, you can just tap down their entire team with Reejerey's and swing with mana open since everything is usually free or even "negative" cost by turn 4-5. =P

I don't think this new lord will see much play in the 'folk decks, but we'll see.

It does work nicely with the Colossus. The static pump means that two activations will put it at 20/20...a very nice size for an unblockable creature.
