DN hates me though, and I keep getting these awkward hands(in the last 5 games, 3 times I've opened with Ape Fighter, bergzak, striker, and nothing else to follow up with). I definitely see a lot of potential in the deck, so I wanna find some way to work with it. any help would be very appreciated!

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except when there are exactly 5 EARTH Monster in your Graveyard. When this card is successfully Special Summoned, you can select 1 Monster in either player's Graveyard and Special Summon it. If this card is removed from the field, you must skip your next turn's Battle Phase.
It seems to go well with the three Rock Ko'aki Meiru monsters, but I'm not quite sure how great they are unless you have 2+ of this card already in your hand. It would have to be a completely empty field and by summoning 2 of these, you only have 1 slot left. Then again, if you can summon a good monster with this card's effect, then it can be a decent OTK.

With fast effect gone and veiler being rampant I don't think its a good idea to be relh.aying on the invoker plays as muc
"The mindless masses don't see potential, they stick with what has already worked. They will be the first to criticize a departure from the norms and the first to join you once they see that you have suceeded. No card is too good to take out; if its not working, try something new."

I don't quite get what you mean to say here. What does this have to do with the Rock KKMs? Did you also misread something about its summoning method? Because I don't know why you would need 2+ copies of it to be ok, or that you need an empty field?

You need to have 2+ copies of Earth Spirit God Grand Soil in your hand to make the effort of putting exactly 5 Earth monsters into the graveyard. Like Archlord Kristya and Guardian Eatos, you aren't limited to have only 1 copy on the field. Once you've fulfilled the summoning requirement, they're all essentially free Special Summons. If you want to make a good OTK, you'll need to stock (not stack) your hand with multiple copies of Earth Spirit God Grand Soil. However, the mechanics of it limits you to only using 2 with maximum effectiveness, since each Earth Spirit God Grand Soil summons 1 additional monster to the field. However, you could still summon 3 copies to have a base ATK total of 8400 if your opponent has an empty field, but have those 3 plus 2 more monsters (most likely your opponent's), you can more safely pull off an OTK.

Good list, especially since Monster Reborn is a handy card to have!

I recently picked up my third Bergzak (finally) so I'm eager to try Warrior builds. Perhaps some Equip shenanigans to compliment the Double Attack power?
Also, for builds that run TGU for Invoker access, something to consider is All-Out Attacks, so that your newly summoned monster is at least not all THAT useless.
