    Cool Skill Drain Ruling(New?)

I have heard that Skill Drain may possibly have a ruling where cards like Mystic Tomato won't work.

I have not heard anything like this, nor do I see any reason for this to be so.

Where did you here this from Z?

If a monster isnt face up on the field when its effect resolves Skill Drain cannot negate its effect. I don't see how Mystic Tomato could be negated.

    Mystic Tomato
When this card is sent to the Graveyard as a result of battle, you can Special Summon 1 DARK monster with an ATK of 1500 or less in face-up Attack Position from your Deck. Then shuffle your Deck.

Skill Drain can negate cards that resolve during damage substep 6, Like DD Warrior Lady, and old Vindictive, but...

Skill Drain CANNOT negate cards that resolve off the field during damage substep 7, like Mystic Tomato and Apprentice Magician.

    Enjoy

Right, because those monsters activate and resolve thier effects on the field and would not be sent to the graveyard until the end of the damage step whereas mystic tomato and sangan etc. activate in the graveyard after being sent there at the end of the damage step.

Nope, and its not likely going to affect anything that works when it triggers in the Graveyard. If it would affect Tomato, it would affect Sangan as well, and that just ain't gonna happen.

Seriously...why do people post things when they shouldn't? I know the current ruling on cards like this. Why the hell are you posting old info? All I did was ask if Woo0 heard anything about a POSSIBLE new ruling for Skill Drain.

Thank you for responding though Woo0(seeing as i asked him and him only, but posted it here so that everyone would know in case it was a new ruling on Skill Drain).

I don't remember when I heard this possible change, but I thought it would be good to ask Woo0 just in case. Seeing as he has heard nothing about it, I am good to go. :3

Seriously.... If you have a private question for Woo, then PM him. Asking a question in a public forum, opens the question to all for answers.

Answering with the current ruling also implies that there has been no change.

    Enjoy
