ZombiePlants: yes, they work!
Hi everyone! I've been doing some testing around zombie builds in order to get around a Teledad or Lightsworn matchup. I really like this build but I'm kinda running out of ideas. I've tested it with amazing results. Check this out:
Deck: 40 cards
Monsters (21):
3 Goblin Zombie
3 Mezuki
3 Lonefire Blossom
2 Dark Armed Dragon
2 Tytannial, Princess of Camellias
2 Plaguespreader Zombie
2 Zombie Master
1 Dandylion
1 Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
1 Sangan
1 Spirit Reaper
Spells (13):
3 Allure of Darkness
3 Upstart Goblin
2 Burial from a Different Dimension
2 Card of Safe Return
1 Heavy Storm
1 Brain Control
1 Monster Reborn
Traps (6):
3 Phoenix Wing Wind Blast
1 Torrential Tribute
1 Mirror Force
1 Crush Card Virus
Extra Deck:
3 Goyo Guardian
2 Revived King Ha Des
1 Doomkaiser Dragon
1 Thought Ruler Archfiend
1 Colossal Fighter
2 Stardust Dragon
1 Red Dragon Archfiend
2 Black Rose Dragon
1 Magical Android
1 Reaper on the Nightmare
Side deck (Oh yeah...anti-antimeta)
2 Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress
2 Light-Imprisoning Mirror
1 Breaker The Magical Warrior
3 Skill Drain
1 Neo-Spacian Grand Mole
2 Dust tornado
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
3 Legendary Jujitsu Master
Some notes about this deck:
- Tytannial princess is an incredible card. A 2800atk special summon without losing card advantage is just HUGE. The only ubber card this thing can't negate is the freak'n Honest.
This deck wins otk'ing. Simple. Summon tytannial, DAD and 2 goyos and there you go.
MAIN PROBLEMS: I always forget to pile shuffle and sometimes I get 2 lonefires + 1 tytannial or 2 Tytannials = bad hand.
Neo-Spacian grand frickin' mole should go to hell. Period.
Matchups
DAD Teleport:
I won 2 matches 2-1 (hand of 3 lonefires + tytannial makes me want to pile shuffle).
Old fashioned:
(D.D. Assailants, cyber valleys, monarchs...not D.D.):
I won 2-0 . Tytannial is the terror of monarchs too.
Plants: (Gigaplant rush without tytannial)
Won 3 matches 2-1, lost 1 match 1-2.
DaD teleport:
2 matches today. Lost one 2-0 and lost 2-1 (my mistake, I would have won if I summoned a tytannial). I need to add more side deck against this thing.
Zombies:
Won 2-0. He couldn't destroy tytannial so...yeah, I won.
Spellcaster Village:
Won 2-0. Side deck worked amazingly.
Gladiator Beasts:
Won 2-0. Skill drain FTW.
Lightsworns:
Won 2-0. Again, skill drain FTW.
TODAY: 01/24/09
Zombies: (one Lightsworn/zombie, and three pure zombie)
Won: 3-1 matches (2-0, 0-2, 2-1 and 2-0) . The only match I lost today, but in top 8 I won 2-0 against the same deck.
Monarchs:
Won: 2 matches 2-0 both. Monarchs fear the Princess
Anti-Meta:
Won: 2-0. A little bit of good luck in duel 1.
Final: TeleDAD
Won: 2-0!!! Upstart Goblins FTW, Camellia forced my opponent to summon colossal fighter only to be blown away by a PWWB.
That's for today! Rate/Fix please !

I use a third PWWB on my side deck, maybe I'll add another card to the side deck then. Thanks

Zombie world completely ruins the plant support. Mark, fertilizer, lonefires and Tytannial can't activate their effects (that's why it used to be one of the best side deck cards against plants). Thanks though
Keep bringing suggestions!

Mark of the rose/miracle fertiliser and zombie world would conflict though. Mind posting how playtesting turned out? I'm interested in how the plant portion of the deck helps.

The plant portion of the deck gives the zombie deck an aid during the first stages of the game. Lonefire blossoms thin the deck while searching for Tytannial princess of camellias, and the princess slows down the opponent by changing their playstyle from offensive to defensive while the goblin zombies search for the needed zombie cards.
I've posted some playtest results. I have to admit that this deck topdecks amazingly that miracle fertilizer :P
Keep the R/F coming!!!

I would drop Breaker (not needed) for PSZ (amazing, always run at least 2). And have you considered Botanical Lions (just a really good monster to swarm with).

personally, id try a couple gigaplants, just to see if the additional swarm could help.
maybe for breaker and caius since youre having problems with it.
just an idea.
Gigaplant needs protection the turn it is summoned. It is a great card, but I can't get the best of it. I'll try it though! Thanks
*Update: results of today's tourney. Lost only first round against Teledad and on top 8 against teledad too (I hate malicious).
