Default Sigil of the Empty Throne

    Sigil of the Empty Throne

    Enchantment
Whenever you play an enchantment spell, put a 4/4 white Angel token creature with flying into play.

This looks like a neat Johnny-tastic card. Maybe there's a mono-white enchantment control deck waiting out there, where this could be the win condition. With Idyllic Tutor, Greater Auramancy, Oblivion Rings, Runed Halo, and Story Circle, the defensive backbone of a deck is there. Throw in this new enchantment, and lay down the beats after a Wrath of God. In any case, it seems to have higher build-around-me potential than Hoofprints of the Stag, which turned out to be a bust.

Or, just pair it with Enchanted Evening. Hello, card advantage!

Maybe Wizards are salting in some prep enchantments for that enchantment set that has been speculated about for so long. Suicidal Charge is another quirkily interesting enchantment.

Think about it this way...you could totally play the life gain until you turn 4 Wrath, then turn five Sigil, followed by turn 6 Endless Horizons (4cc) to remove the rest of your land from your deck and Greater Auramancy (2cc)...It's just about GG right there. Of course, that is assuming you don't miss a land drop.

Wait a minute you mean that one Enchantment set that consists entirely of just Enchantments with no other card types and lands included? I remember one of my friends talking about that last year.

Kind of. People have been speculating about an enchantment block since the Mirrodin "artifact block." In the last year we have seen a lot more variance in enchantments, including enchantment creatures etc.

Of course people have been speculating about said enchantment block for years... and have been wrong that whole time.
