    Default Shards/shadowmoor Devour deck

ive just started playing magic and i have a bant deck thats pretty much done, but i get owned by my friends jund deck, and my other friends jund/grixxis deck. they run sarkhon vol and hellkite overlords...the whole 9 yards, i want something to over run them and bust out giant creatures, hence a devour deck. heres what i have in mind so far, and its almost complete:

going off half Forrest half mountain:

    mountain x8
    forrest x8
    goblin assault x2
    dragon fodder x4
    rockslide elemental x2
    skeletonize x2
    soul's fire x 4 XD
    thunder-thrash elder x2
    predator dragon x2
    rip-clan thrasher x4
    branching bolt x2
garruk wildspeaker x1 -----if i dont pull a devour...why not mess them up with all my little counters
    algae gharial x2
    Mycoloth x2 my favourite card!
    wild nacatl x4
    mercy killing x2
    safehold elite x4
    rhys the redeemed x2

mostly get a lot of tokens out make someone to big and soul fire, or throw a mess ton of little 1/1s at 'em.

any constructive criticism is appreciated, i think this deck will blow minds, and ive tried it against an esper deck and it does fairly well over whelming them with tokens, only issue is the lack of flying defense and jund charms -2/-2 to all creatures can be a big issue, as well as infest.

thanks again i cant wait to melt some faces with this deck.

what if i added 1 more mycoloth and 1 caldera hellion hold it for a board clearer at the right moment? after these additions i still need 3 more cards to fill it up. thanks again

I'm somewhat new to magic, so I'm hesitant to give my opinion in the event that it could be bad advice, but why not substitute Caldera Hellion in for Skeletonize. In my experience it has payed off because its not just limited to a single creature (very good against weenie decks) Same converted mana cost for same effect, plus a nice solid creature that can do some damage.
Also i would consider putting x2 more Mycoloths in there. Its an awesome card. Perfect for devour because it keeps feeding the frenzy with those 1/1 tokens. Also put x2 more goblin assaults in. Extremely nice token generator. I've known people to use bitterblossom in devour decks also, but i dont really like the life loss. And you probably wanna keep it limited to forest/mountain.

    nice deck, good luck

a solid deck, although devour cards aren't worth it.
if u devour ur whole field and your opponent kills it, its pretty much gg
when u play, keep in mind to not devour ur whole team.
@Barlimore - bitterblossom is played b/c it is just crazy
1 life each turn is really not much.
On a second thought, take out goblin assault.
it makes ur 1/1 gobos attack, usually into a larger creature, which makes it pointless

first you may wanna add more lands to your deck, I don't know, the least number of lands i ever play is 22 lands, so I'm not sure how you've managed to play this deck and consistently be able to play your four to five drop

Not standard, but doubling season + mycoloth would be sick

You're playing a token deck and you want to overrun your opponents...
    ...tried Overrun?

But yeah, if you have the Garruks play them.

If you really want to beat your friends I would suggest building a deck with white in it for better spot removal or blue for counter and bounce, to deal with the large single threats they have. When everyone's playing Paper, you want to play Scissors. Playing Paper won't get you far.

And please, as a personal favour, play some more lands lest I weep.
