Hey Upper Deck . . .
I don't know if it's just me . . . but it seems that your trying to kill VS. I know that there are problems with DC regarding the issues of original art and not wanting to pay for it . . . or something else that we don't know but what we do know is that there is a 6 month span between now and the next supposed set - and we all want to know 1 simple thing without a long drawn out answer.
Will there be a second run of MUN?
I and a few friends firmly believe that if you don't make another run then the bullet is in the chamber and you may as well kill the game. I personally hope that it doesn't happen as I really like the VS card game. Almost as much as Star Wars ( Deciphers not WOTC ).
I've also noticed that you've started putting more into WoW I don't know where you guys get your information from but WoW is almost dead in Southern California, and I don't hear much about it from anywhere else in the US from the people I speak to. And the other Marvel card game you made isn't even carried in any of the 4 store stores that are within my vicinity no one wants to carry a competing game for their own company that's just dumb.
As for Yu-Gi-Oh!, I'm sure that's still doing what it did, it has it's own following, dies and gets reborn, but still your having a hard time keeping that up as well.
Your company started as a "card company" for people ( amongst other things I'm sure ) but that was where your beginning was, then you got Yu-Gi-Oh!, then made VS, got WoW and another Marvel game, your problem as I plainly see it is that your spreading yourself INCREDIBLY thin you should really re-think your strategy for your CCGs and invest in them accordingly so that the games don't die.
In other words, drop the lame Marvel game you have, give WoW to someone else and focus on VS - I mean seriously the New York convention was a mess because you had no MUN.
Essentially, people want to play with new stuff, and you can't provide new stuff to the people, then the game will die. So I reiterate my question:
Will there be a second run? Yes or no.
Thanks for reading and listening,
Cat

Secondly, I totally agree with you Cat. Good thing about this forum is you aren't going to have anybody whinning about it is your responsibility to PREORDER PREORDER PREORDER to save the game. Almost all of us here play the game for fun and casually and are not going to go out and preorder a product we are unsure if we will like.

This is an old post but I really wanted to put my 2 cents in. Wow is completely dead in south Texas there are some stores that carry it but it sucks no one is playing it. Was not my cup of tea either. As for the other Marvel game....I dont think south Texas even new it was around. VS has had such a hard time getting off its feet here, and it sucks in my home town I was the guy that convinced the card shop to buy the game, I actully worked form him and told him if no one buys I will buy all that he had. Needless to say I got about 15 people to start playing out of them 10 people stayed all they till at least till X-men and I am sure stayed I just moved after that set came out but it was still booming and it was still getting bigger. Although UPPER DECK would never let us do hobby league or host tournements at all and it sucked and thats what kind of helped made it start to die. Here in San Antonio its rare to find we had 4 places that started to sell it and out of them only 1 does now. And not very much I might add. They do not advertise they do not do anything to help inject stuff into the game and it really sucks thats why its on its last limbs and its also why I originally stopped after Marvel- Team up. I herd rumors at the time that they were taking away millions that they were investing in VS and moved it to WoW and even canceled money tournements to get the money to send over to WoW. It blows and now I am in SA and again I am trying to bring it back to south Texas but man when Upper deck will not help you worth anything its hard. Anyway I hope something good comes out soon because its going to be really hard for me to stay in the game if no one is selling them here.
Laterz
and thanks for listening to my 2 cents well now more like a buck fifty but still
