I know that 8 drops are really though to put on the field these days with all those bizarro decks and rush decks, but I was wondering, what is your best 8 drop in SA right now. Your favorite finisher, let's say.

I like Noble Kale (but you probably knew that already ). I just love how he completely ignores the opposing field and goes for the face.

I'm a big fan of Tyrant, too. In my Heralds bounce deck, I've had him remove a 7-drop quite a few times. Not too shabby!

Well I was going for a different card until I read the word finisher. I'll have to go with t_man and pick Noble Kale. He is a finisher. If the game lasted till the 8th turn and you have the opportunity to swing to the face with 19 then your probably winning the game. I have been playing one copy of him in an Underworld/Hellfire Club deck I have and if games go to the 8th he is amazing.

Now that is just for a single card, the 8th drop, cause if you add other cards into the mix then I guess that I would have to go with Darkseid, Dark God. Endgame just makes him so fun to play specially against Spider Stall.

Endgame's cost is 9 though isn't it? I think Darkseid - Nemesis is a bit more of a threat on turn 8, especially with so many subtitute darkseids.

My favorite would have to be Ra's al Ghul though. With a little defensive pump a lot of decks wouldn't be able to stun him, and then there's no reinforcement, searchers, team attacking, zippo for them. Always fun.

I know End Game is a 9 cost plot twist, but like I said against Spider Stall it is awesome.

If you mean he beats Noble Kale because by removing him from the game nets you 1 endurance then your kind of nuts. If you manage to drop me below 1 then your fine the thing is Noble Kale attacks directly if I want to. The card text says: Noble Kale can attack players directly while you control another Underworld character. His text is not like Elektra, Masterless Assassin that states: Elektra can attack players and can't attack characters. There is a big difference there. I could just attack Vandal Savage with Noble Kale and then you couldn't get your endurance up to 1 because he would be stunned at the start of the recovery phase. If you do remove him from the game on turn 8 and my endurance isn't 0 or below then by turn 9 you would be dead anyway since you don't have a Vandal Savage and I would still have my Noble Kale.

Anyway the blog is about your favorite 8th drop, not on what drop beats the others players choice for best drop.

I like Sentry only if i have evens cus then I can smack the field up and then make thier 8 drop and more useless. On odds I like Darkseid -Nemesis this guy is just too good and he clears a field.

Come on guys, the best finisher is Gog- no one ever sees it coming. They just assume my SS rush deck is doing terrible by going to turn 8, but then I drop Gog and stun their entire board.


Just kidding. My favorite 8 drop effect would be Thanos, since you can bring about some tough decisions for your opponent, especially if he has hidden characters.

Favorite finisher though- Captain Marvel. It's just way too satsifying to run a Heralds life gain deck and then say "all right, I sub in Mary Marvel, recruit Captain Marvel, and look at that, I win."

well i have to say Thor... but is golden now, so my best 8 is Black Bolt in silver and Darkseid in modern. That Black bolt had ko a lot of Ahmed lol!
