    Default First Major Shadowmoor Spoiler!

If you go to www.magicthegathering.com, and click on the booster pack on the right, a full booster of new cards from Shadowmoor appears complete with beautiful art.

    Couple of major points:
    1. Scroll over the bottom right card, and you will see the first Shadowmoor preview card:
    Demigod of Revenge B/R, B/R, B/R, B/R, B/R
    Creature -- Spirit Avatar (Rare)
    Flying, haste
When you play Demigod of Revenge, return all cards named Demigod of Revenge from your graveyard to play.
"His laugh, a bellowing deathly din, slices through the heavens, making them bleed." -- The Seer's Parables
    5/4

Wow, that's some good. Who cares if it is countered? You will get all copies in your yard back into play. Hasty, 5/4 flyers for 5 are solid enough to play anyway.

    2. Hybrid Mana is back (duh!)
This is probably Rule Q from Rosewater's article.

    3. Tribal colors are changing
Can you spot the differences? It is fairly obvious, but it looks as if Mistmeadow Skulk is getting a reprint.

    4. If Mistmeadow Skulk is one reprint, what is the second hinted reprint?
    Phosphorescent Feast?
    Graven Cairns?

I'm stoked, love the art, love new sets...

Wow. I am amazed with the Demigod's ability, and being a 5/4 no less!. Unfortunately, I see that mana costs are a bit..."Hard to achieve".
I do like the "B/2 B/2 B/2" card. What card could be able to cost 6(!) normally, and 3(!) with black? My guess is something like, "If you spent no black mana to play this". Or some other card that changes based on the mana you spend on it.

T1: Swamp, Dark Ritual, Buried alive. Choose 3 demigod
    T2: Mountain, Pyroclasm/small global kill(Doesn't matter much.
T3: Seething Song, Play Demigod, get 3 more, swing for 20.

There's going to some arguments with that new Demigod card, I cast Demigod which goes on the stack, then the trigger goes on the stack(to fetch any potential Demigods from the graveyard) then, if your opponent counters Demigod before the trigger resolves the Demigod goes to the graveyard and then gets brought back by it's trigger. So if someone casts Demigod wait for the trigger to resolve and then counter it.

it probably just means you can play it in any deck (b/c of the alternate colourless cost) but black obviously supports it more, probably won't be a very good card.

i find the casting cost of Beseech the Queen to be interesting...3 black or 6 colorless....that's new.

this set should be really cool, as long as they keep some level of synergy with the sets that are still in Standard. i have a feeling the new set will stand almost opposite of Llorwyn as far as flavor and feel, i just hope the cards work together.
