Default DCL PREVIEW: AQUAMAN and SEA Creatures

    http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/v....aspx?aid=3636

    Aquaman
    Cost 6
    JLA
    13/12
    No Flight/No Range
    uncommon

when aquaman enters play return a character card and a non-character card from your KO'd to your hand.

    Sea Creatures, army
    Cost 2
    No Affiliation
    3/3
    No Flight/No range
    Rare

Sea Creatures cost 1 less to play while you control Aquaman

Sea Creatures gains the affiliations of characters you control named aquaman.

Just so you guys know, i have no clue why Rian Finke thinks you can use Conjuration on Aquaman. Conjuration from DCR is team-stamped. Character must have the printed team affiliation Shadowpact, so unless he is hinting at some new card that gives out printed affiliations under-dropping Aquaman isnt happening.

Now Playing three drop Cable and using bodyslide on turn 7 doesnt seem like that great of a combo unless we are somehow getting into Good Guys Power-up?

a 3/3 2 drop that only cost less if you control aquaman. if they make a drop for him on turn 3 then i could see these being beast, but then you still have to protect him from leaving the field and that my friend is not something i want to be under-dropping 2 drops 3/3 for, especially when we can probably expect a flame trap or two.

    Just my two cents.

    I like the new Aquaman.
I mean, like a card because I am not a fan of him.
(Maybe it's because he has the same powers as SpongeBob...)
    Never mind...

The Sea Creatures are not very good to me...
I don't know why, they just don't have many sense for now.

    Hey check it out.

We could make a golden age deck for these guys...

Longshot, Aquaman and Sea Creatures. We could even trick it out so we could get some powerful army effects, but wait flame trap is making a return right. no need.

I think i would be frustrated if i opened the Rare Army Char. the Aquaman is fine, but pulling a Rare Army...leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
but the preview for tomorrow looks more appealing...Go Joker and your crazy tiger traps!!

Big old fashioned "meh" for me. Aquaman has a decent effect but nothing that makes me jump up and take notice. Sea Creatures is cool seeing as how it's a 3/3 1-drop army card but is pretty boring after that. Just not a very exciting preview IMO.

You know how much of a pain it's gonna be to build a consistent Aquaman Legend deck with those Sea Creatures? DCL is supposed to be as big as MVL, right? You'll probably only get 1 of these things every three or four boxes. Geez...Rare Army = Bad move, UDE. Should have been uncommon. Good thing I won't use it.

its so you can't get too many in limited.

And Sea Creatures are pretty rare.

    Good cards IMO.

Aquaman would have been so good if he had substitute.
I can see him combing with Straght To The Grave.

sea creters mah.. i dont know what to make of them yet i think their might be more in store for them, i dont think that ude would have made them rare if they didnt have some tricks for them, or i could be wrong and pulling them as your rare would be a disapointment to see in our packs.

if aquaman had substitute he would be broken. he would create a a series of turn 6 that would at the best net you six cards. Remember the Avengers Assemble Trick, now think.

Aquaman on 6 i go and grab my search and character from grave...substitute, i go grab my plot and my character...substitute, i interrupt and use my search if needed or just rifle my KO's pile again. He would be the first character at the 6 drop spot people would actually see as running a possible 4 of.

Darkseid the Omega got the Substitute treatment and I and others have broken him in more ways than one.
