Knights Deck
I have just recently began to play VS, my friends got me into it. I am trying to put together a Marvel/Gotham Knights deck. I am clueless as to what needs to be done. My friends are trying but I'd like to see what others think of the concept.

If he's new to the game, I doubt he'll know what Modern, Silver, or Golden Age means.
Okay, here's what they mean:
Golden Age - Every expansion set is available for deck building. Which means, you can use any and all cards in your deck. Marvel Origins - Marvel Legends.
Silver Age - Last 4 expansion sets that have been released: Legion of Super Heroes, Marvel Team-Up, World's Finest, and Marvel Legends.
Modern Age - Last 4 expansion sets in Marvel and DC. So, for DC, it would be: Justice League, Infinite Crisis, Legion of Super Heroes, and World's Finest. For Marvel, it would be: X-Men, Heralds of Galactus, Marvel Team-Up, and Marvel Legends.
Hope this helps.

Well, I'm assuming it's a casual deck in which case the "age" doesn't matter, you just play the cards you have from any set.
Both teams have a fair presence of Concealed; both teams have ways to favor equipment; both teams have worthwhile team-ups and search cards. So they could fit together fairly well if you base it on their similarities.
The teams each also have strengths that they don't share, but might work well together since each one would bring something to the table that the other lacks. Gotham has a lot of effect control (negation/denial), and works to make a lot of material available to themselves (card draw and "toolbox" search). Marvel Knights can throw down some ATK pumps and out-of-combat stuns, and has a fair amount of material based around KO'ing your opponent's characters.
So it could be possible to try to cobble together a "complete control" deck, where you combine Gotham's effect control with Marvel's field control (the KO effects, since you can dictate who stays and who goes) to push your opponent into the most unfavorable situation possible before you deal your killing blow. That might take a bit of finesse, and could be difficult to pull off reliably though. A more straightforward approach might be to work with "beatdown" options, which you have quite a few of. Equipment can be used to strengthen your characters beyond what your opponent can deal with, you can play with a variety of combat pumps to damage your opponent as effectively as possible, and you can exploit the hidden area to keep your strongest attackers safe and available to attack where you want and when you want. The more recent sets (DWF and MVL) will probably have the best selection of characters and support for either deck type, but the older sets have some worthy contributions to consider as well.
Good luck with the deck, and let us know what you end up building!
