Let's go ahead and get the statement out of the way right now: There are going to be alot of cards (like this) that are lackluster and narrow (this is a set of Legends, afterall!) in that you need a specific character out to use them.

This has worked in the past with Dr. Doom, but how well it will work with Jean Grey depends entirely on how good her character cards are. So far all we've seen is a vanilla 5-drop with no powers aside from coming into play.

The card itself isn't bad, but alot of players already choose effects based on what won't be stopped by a Cloak of Nabu or BPRD Signal Device so in SA this isn't looking too great.

MA of course remains to be seen.

    I like it. Too bad it's character-specific.

Y'know what else you can do with this card? You can wait and see what they do and then play Telepathic Suppression in response.

For example, they propose their 3-drop into your 6-drop (gee, I wonder if they're going to get targeted by some effects). They play 3 Big Leagues and pass; you play TS in response and laugh.

Or, your 6-drop Jean into their Dr. Minerva: you lay on some pumps and pass, and they try to use Penal Colony/Poker Night. You respond by playing TS; Minerva gets crushed.

We'll all have to be careful when Jean Grey is on the other side of the field!

This is a good point and an example of me reading the card only once and proving I can't comprehend. The desire to have a character become 'non-targettable' usually is reserved for characters you control. This plot twist can be used on any one, making it possible to disrupt plans on both sides.

This significantly boosts is viability, but because it is tied to Jean Grey (who until we see better drops for her does not impress me) keeps it from being a cinch to include.

cool, a new Bwahaha!!! for modern age but even better than Bwahaha because it also stops reinforcement and location effects. Finally I can stop checkmate.

Finally! god I can't log in!,

this is a great card but ummm iffy I would say as people could just respond to your playing it and still target the character, but otherwise it is a very good card.

This is an excellent, versatile yet narrow card! There are many effects this stops, without any additional costs or drawbacks aside from playing a Legend deck, which we're encouraged to do for this set anyway.

actually that doesn't work. They have already targeted the character there for playing this in responce does nothing.

Thank you very much. This was my very first preview article and I was surprised by how hard it actually was.
