So, stop #1 of the two shop hop for Scourgewar Sneak is done, and aside from going 2-3 I had a great time. Son went 3-2 and finished in top12, so that was a nice surprise.
Stopped at Ancient Wonders in Taulitin and found that there were 26 of us there to play in an event that was supported by one sneak kit which is designed for 12 players, so with some creative effort, it was a sealed event with 3 boosters of Scourgewar and 1 each of the previous block.

As the title suggests this is a "Fan Boy's Dream Come True". In the up and coming Shonen Jump and old fan boy card is being released as a playable card, for those who don't know what I am talking about, it's Obelisk The Tormentor. Yes it's true this all powerful card will actually be playable and legal. Not only will it be playable it's effect is as it suggests, godly.
For those who are excited to know this is the cards text:

When creating a deck or preparing for a competitive tournament, we tend to play test. Typically, we playtest against the top decks and their mother. Maybe, if our friend created a super cool rogue deck, we'll play a few rounds with him or her. But, most of the time, our play testing is limited to Gardellade, Hippowdon, and whatever the other top decks are at the time. And, in reality, most of us start with proxies and couldn't care less about the five steps of development (as seen in The Innovation...

Ok, I am admittedly terribad about Blogging, but since today starts an entirely new block in WoW TCG, I figure it might as well start a new cycle of me being terribad at blogging as well...
So, my intention is to start fresh, and chronicle the next year as we move through this new block. My intent is to post each event I attend, and possibly some random stuff in between, as I spend the next few months deciding if I really have time to play cards or if I am at that point that...

I'm looking for new ways to renovate new and old archetypes and make them playable in today's format. Here is the first installment of Star Search.
In the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG there are currently three reptile archetypes:
-Aliens
-Venom
-and now the new Reptilianne.
Non of them have ever seen the light of day. Hopefully that will soon change. This article is on a reptilianne deck I've been toying around with for about a week. But before I get on...

In my previous article, The Innovation Game: Age of Status, I mentioned the idea of innovation, and the focal point of this article: development. From what I have found, development consists of five steps: Step One: Create an idea. Step Two: Build a Core. Step Three: Add support. Step Four: Add staples. Step Five: Miscellaneous additions. There are several tips and tricks to develop a deck, though that is a general basis.
As I said, Step One of development is to create an idea. But,...

Hello everyone! My last blog was also about Zendikar limited. It focused on some sleeper cards (cards that might be obvious to experienced players but seem lackluster to the average player) and had a few pointers on what not to do. It went well, overall, with the community (TCGPlayer is a community!).
This time, I'd like to focus a little more on when to pick what, add what, cut what and possibly do what. I am going to reference tonight's (well last night's, its 4 am now) booster...

A few weeks ago at a local tournament, my X-sabers were disassembled, so I was left with the task of throwing a deck together within about 10 minutes. I bought a few Raiza from the book and decided to make a bounce deck. It worked relatively well considering that I got 2nd that day.
A new card out of hidden arsenal caught my eye because of how well it fit into this new deck of mine. Mist valley Soldier.
