Anyone taking part in this contest? Seems pretty cool! My main goal is just to beat the second round to win a copy of Pokemon Box, however winning more would be great too! anyone else on the boards taking part in it? Anyone finidn gthe practice quiz hard? Easy? did you ace the main quiz? or did you blow it? And how are you preparing for further rounds?

By the way, I am having technical problems. I can't get it to load. I can get the practice quiz loading screen to start, but right when the loading bar is just about to finish, the browser stops loading (thinking the load is finished) and the screen hangs on the loading screen. I hit refresh, but the same thing keeps happening. Anyone know how I can fix that? I'm going to go defrag and see if that helps (but I don't see how) anyone have any suggestions or know why? Thanks.

I tried to do it, even though im in the UK...
it came up at the end "Your score is 0 out of 30, time taken 0.0 seconds" hmm somethings wrong with that!

I hoep you were in the practice battle! Yeah, somehting definitely wrong. I defragged my hard drive, didn't help, I upgraded my browser, still didn't help. The loading screen just won't finsih loading, and I don't know why. I should e-mail nintendo and find out what's wrong.

I'm not quite sure how my rank got to be 27, because some other posters took longer than me and got a lower score, but I'm still ranked lower than them. (the ones with shorter times and higher scores are obviously higher than me, I don't understand the ones that got a lower score longer than me and were ranked higher than me because that shoulden't be. and then I just went back, and was ranked #8, and hten again I went back and was ranked #9, but then just now I was ranked #8 again. On well, as long as I manage to stay in the top 8 (there's currently only 33 people ranked in the ability frontier) and win the NEXT challenge, I'll win a copy of Pokemon Box, which is my main goal (because I don't think I'd be good enough to win through the ranks to battle in Seattle, and even if I did, there's no way I'd be good enough to beat the battlers there and goto Japan) so if you do register to take part, don't go to the Ability frontier... it sucks... (yeah, that's the reason I don't want anyone to go there! nothing at ALL to do with possibly usurping my spot! Nope, not at all! :D )

And for anyone else who takes the test, do some studying before hand, because I'm SURe the one I got wrong was golem: I chose Ground-rock instead of Rock-ground because I didn't think it mattered, but apparently it does. Don't worry, I don't think there's that many whose dual types swap between different pokemon. For example, Golem is Rock-Ground, but Rhydon (rhyhorn? don't remember which on I looked up) is Ground-rock so just be aware that the dual types aren't always the onyl thing to know, but also the ORDER in which the dual types are presented in for various pokemon.

Not sure what I got wrong. Chances are it was more due to my time than my answers (that's how the practice test worked). Either way, a score like that certainly isn't going to win me anything. Ah well... :(
