EDIT: This is legit. There are SCANS. We're getting stuff like Shield Crush and Marshmallon. No kidding.

Someone posted this on pojo and got it from Volume 5, Issue 7 of Shonen Jump. This is BIG news; how come this isn't getting more attention?

According to this source, as the title says, we will be getting Premium Packs. The packs will have 5 cards each; 3 in Secret-Rare foil and 2 in Super-Rare foil. The packs will be previewed at Comic Con 07 in July and released in September.

The big news about this is the set of 15 cards that will come in these packs. 12 are confirmed so far:

Sorry I don't know much about OCG cards. Could someone please tell me what most of these do? I know Curtain, Cursh, Marsh, but that's about it. Besides the rituals. I know them.

Normal Trap
Select and activate 1 of the following effects:

Draw 1 card from your Deck.
If your opponent has a face-up Spirit Monster on their side of the field, draw 2 cards from your Deck.Gemini Imps

When your opponent activates an effect that includes the effect of discarding the cards in your hand, you may discard this card from your hand to the Graveyard to negate the activation and effect of that card. Afterward, you may draw 1 card from your Deck.

Lv4/DARK/Zombie/Effect/1000/1600
During your Standby Phase, if this card is in the Graveyard and you have no cards in your hand, you may add this card to your hand by paying 500 Life Points.


The others seem recognizable enough, so I'm not posting those effects unless someone asks.

Shield Crush will become a semi-staple due to the constant use of the GK Spy and Legendary Jujitsu Master Monarch build. But that won't be till a while now. So Monarch users rejoice.

I've got some changes to report, but I'm running a little short on time, so I have to make it quick.

Each pack has 3 SUPER RARES and 2 SECRET RARES. Here's what else is known about the rarities in the set:

BTW, I would REALLY appreciate it if someone who already has this issue of Shonen Jump could confirm any of this information and/or provide a scan, if possible.

This monster can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card, "Dark Magic Ritual". You must also offer monsters whose total Level stars equal 8 or more as a Tribute from either the field or your hand.

(This is the previously unreleased Ritual Monster, not DMoC. This card has actually been mentioned on Dark Magician Girl since she was printed in MFC, but has only now been scheduled for release.)

Dark Magic Ritual
Ritual Spell Card
This card is used to Ritual Summon "Magician of Black Chaos". You must offer monsters whose total Level Stars equal 8 or more as a Tribute from the field or your hand.

Dark Magic Curtain
Normal Spell Card
If you activate this card, you cannot Normal Summon, Flip Summon, or Special Summon this turn. Pay half of your Life Points. Special Summon 1 "Dark Magician" from your Deck.

Marshmallon
Light, Fairy/Effect, Lv3, 300/500
This card is not destroyed as a result of battle (Damage Calculation is applied normally). When this card is attacked while in face-down Defense Position, the player who attacked this card takes 1000 points of Direct Damage.

Shield Crush
Normal Spell Card
Select 1 Monster in Defense Position on the field and destroy it.

Metalmorph
Normal Trap
After activation, this card is used to equip a face-up monster. The monster equipped with this card increases its ATK and DEF by 300 points. When attacking with a monster equipped with this card, you can further increase its ATK by an amount equal to half of the ATK of your target.

Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon
Dark, Machine/Effect, Lv8, 2800/2400
This card can only be Special Summoned from the Deck to the field by offering "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" equipped with "Metalmorph" as a Tribute. Your Deck is then shuffled.

Gemini Imps
Dark, Fiend/Effect, Lv4, 1000/1000

Marshmallon is restricted to one in Japan and I think it will be restricted to one in the next banned/restricted list as well. It's definitely going to see A LOT of play once it comes out. I'll be sure to get my hands on some.

EDIT: I just noticed that the scans say "Black Magic Ritual" instead of "Dark Magic Ritual" (which makes NO sense to me), so I've edited my original posts to reflect that.

Black Magic Ritual - Same as MoBC
alt. art Metalmorph - metalmorph is a bad card. If it's coming out again instead of getting Forbidden memories (which I did, but I traded all 3 cards later) I can't wait for this too.

When it comes out and everyone is playing 2 copies to run over Spy and LJM, I will be playing my aggressive beatdown where I will never set a monster.

I don't know what the effect of Black Chaos Magician might be, maybe they will leave him as a normal ritual monster. Otherwise DMOC might not be so special.

Very nice, many waited for cards. Marchmellon, shield crush, etc. VERY NICE. MoBCwill fetch a pretty penny online for collectors, but thats about all I can imagine. I dont know about dark magic curtain though, I will have to wait to see that play out.

Yes, we are getting this pack. It will be previewed at Worlds and officially released in September (as of now).

Also, I'd to share a little "rumor" (emphasis on RUMOR) about this that seems to have some legs.

This is regarding the other three cards that will appear in the pack. People on pojo are putting two and two together and coming up with the idea that the other three cards will be the cards that won 4kids' "Design Your Destiny" card creation contest last year.

There's no question that those cards will appear in a pack; the official rules (http://www.4kids.tv/promotions/designyourdestiny/rules.html) stated as much. Plus, since the estimated retail value of each card was about $20, perhaps they will be printed in foil form. The premium pack has three unknown foils, there were three winners of the contest; see what I'm getting at?

BTW, here (http://4kids.tv/promotions/designyourdestiny/) were the winners of the contest.

I must stress that this is only a RUMOR, however, so this may not pan out, but you never know...
