Most people use a pokemon or two exclusively to catch pokemon, I thought other people might want to try different combos.
My tag-team:
Ariados lv. 80
(252 Spd)
Spider Web
Agility
Baton Pass
Night Shade
Kricketune lv. 80
(252 Atk)
False Swipe
Sing
Swagger
Swords Dance
I Spider Web, Agility a few times, then BP over to Kricket. Sing, Swords Dance/False Swipe, Wash, Rinse, Repeat. Swagger is a filler/added status.

Yea, False Swipe is definitly a beauty when catching Pokemon. I just use Roserade(Lv. 87, Speed 209) to abuse Toxic with.
9/10 the Pokemon will give before Toxic deplete it's entire HP.

The only thing that sucks about it is that you can't use FS on Ghosts... Had a bugger of a time trying to catch Rotom.
I like toxic, but I don't have much luck with Poison status conditions... almost never works.
Luck blows.

My old games used this little wonder:
Parasect lv 100
Spore
False Swipe
What else do you need? Auto-sleep, at lv 100 guaranteed first turn speed, above average attack. I usually pad it with a draining Grass attack and something non-Normal Physical attack to hit the Ghosts.

Just for the record, Parasect has the 100th Highest Attack Stat in the game.
For me, I just use Master Balls from Emerald, but I prefer the Hypnosis, then weak-super effective move method.
Uxie was a pain to catch.

Smeargle @ Leftovers
Adamant Nature
252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
- Spore
- False Swipe
- Spider Web
- Recover
All around greatness. Spider Web stops pokemon like Cresselia from fleeing which makes it easier on me. Recover just for random goodness.
Edit: Erm, forgot to look at the date on this. Sorry. >_<
