Any Shinies?

Does anyone have any shinies yet for D/P? I have Pineco, Scizor, Bellosom, and Quagsire.

Omg man, you're way too lucky. I was playing diamond since october last year until a couple days before i got my copy of pearl in english and never saw a single shiny!

As far as shinies I caught myself, of all the years I've played Pokemon since the Metal Generation, I've never saw a single shiny Pokemon (save for the default Gyarados in Gold/Silver/Crystal). That was until several days ago, while searching Stark Mountain for a Magmarizer equipped Magby, I came across a shiny Fearow. Needless to say, I caught the little bastard, lol. That was the first and only shiny I caught on my own. As far as other ones go, I have a shiny Dialga and Palkia from the GTS, although I'm sure they were hacked somehow, and I also have a shiny Drapion from the GTS, except this one appears to be legit. That's all for the shinies I have. Needless to say, the shinies I currently have aren't meant for battles; I'm only keeping them for show. XD

Lucky Lucky. I like hearing these stories of luck, but I cant help but to feel a little jealous lol.

In the FireRed through Diamond, over 250 Hours+ play, I have yet to encounter a shiny. I even did the save reset thing looking for a shiny legendary to no avail.

But back then during the Gold\Silver days, I dled the game and played through a Rom and did manage to catch a Shiney Pidgey and accidentally Ko'ed a shiny Rhyhorn.

It must suck to accidentally KO a shiny Pokemon of any kind. But the ultimate "slap in the face", is encountering a shiny Pokemon in the Battle Tower, which is proven to be possible, seeing as one friend of mine encountered a shiny Meowth, and another friend of mine encountered a shiny Espeon, just to encounter a shiny Metagross some days later in the Battle Tower. Needless to say, one wouldn't be very lucky if the shiny he/she/it encounters is in the Battle Tower.

Dont worry about the Pokemen inside the Battle Tower. They were pre-set that way. I was shocked the first time I saw that Green Meowth or was is Espeon? Anyways yeah, don't let it get you down. 1\8192 doesnt leave you with many chances.

Luck indeed. The only Shiny I've ever had was Shiny Magmar in Crystal Version.

In Pearl I've gotten a shiny Bibarel in the Great Marsh/Safari Zone. :P And I was also unfortunate enough to KO a shiny Girafarig a few days later. x.X

In past games I've found a shiny Golbat in LeafGreen and a shiny Zigzagoon my first play through Sapphire, but I restarted and forgot I even had the thing. XD

The shiny before that was a shiny Onix in Gold.

I hate shiny Legendary hunting, it takes forever. But, for some reason, Diamond <3's me and the only one that's been a real pain so far is Diagla. The lake triplets were all under 50 tries each, The Baloon took like, 30 minutes. Gigas, 12 resets. =P Who's lucky.

Cresselia, Heatran, Rotom, Manaphy, and Manaphy's baby are the only ones on Diamond I haven't done yet.

Pain in the butt... more legendary's than ever.

Not as bad a Crystal though...

Enough Shiny Legendary rants for me though, I've only caught two normals in diamond. Bidoof and Starly, lol. The Bidoof sucks.

Well, some people see shinies and some people don't; it's all a matter of luck. On a side note, Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow has no shiny Pokemon, seeing as the games were monochrome, making color rather impossible. However, it is still possible to have one of your Pokemon from your old games become randomly shiny if traded to the Gold, Silver and/or Crystal games.

Oh yeah. Most games the ratio of a shiny is 1/8192. I've played 346:24 on Sapphire, 165:31 on Ruby, 82:13 on Leaf Green, 24:37 on Fire Red, 92:03 on Emerald, 23:59 on Pearl, and 76:53 on Diamond. The pokemon without the transfer labels are from diamond and pearl.

I'll post how many tries and their color if you want to know.

A friend of mine, in less than a single day, managed to get 9 shinies. It was insane, as the rest of my friends saw what had to be called a spectacle occur. He caught a shiny Pelliper, Seel, Wailmer, Nuzleaf, Gyarados, Weepinbell, Fearow, And I forgot the other two. At any rate, the fact he was able to see and capture so many shinies in such a short time was truly one of those moments where it had to have been seen to be believed. So far, the only shiny I got on my own was a Fearow. The rest of my shinies were only via the GTS; Dialga, Palkia, Drapion and Ponyta. That's all for me, lol.

They cannot be a different color without being shiny. That is a ture fact and it will never change. If you happen to come across shiny pokemon catchi it if you can. Trust me. You may never see one again. It happened to me in my gold version. I found a shiny lapras and never saw a shiny again. I played 935:27 on it.

But how would I know? I think I might have a red palkia from the GTS.

In the status screen, next to the picture of your Pokemon, you'll see a red star; that indicates if it's a shiny or not. Also, if it sparkles when you send it out to battle, that also tells you it's a shiny. On a side note, I also got a Shiny Palkia, as well as Dialga from the GTS.

And also, you sure those Shellos were Shiny? Shellos and Gastrodon have different colors depending on where you find them.

And also, you sure those Shellos were Shiny? Shellos and Gastrodon have different colors depending on where you find them.one of the pokemon were hacked and i've checked serebii.net's pokedex to see if they were shiny and they were. it's really a bummer. just got a hacked lv 3 shiny tyranitar. it's awsome. the one hack pokemon was my lucario. it said it was obtained at lv 100 on route 204.
