Creature - Shapeshifter

As Vesuvan Shapeshifter comes into play or is turned face up, you may choose another creature in play. If you do, until Vesuvan Shapeshifter is turned face down, it becomes a copy of that creature and gains "At the beginning of your upkeep, you may turn this creature face down."

Morph :1::u:
----------------------------------

At worst, a slightly more expensive Clone. At best, a Clone designed to abuse comes-into-play and morphed up triggers. (They've made an addendum to the rules to allow this; check the actual article for details)...

EDIT: My bad, it only abuses morph triggers, not CIP triggers... thanks for the clarification Bastard_Sun... the excitement over this card still hasn't worn off yet...

yeah, the comes into play only works when you play the Dopple from your hand. re-read your addendum)

It does however work with copying an Un-morphed with the morph ability...so with a face-up Riptide Survivor in play and you paid to Un-Morph the Doppel and copied the survivor, you would get to discard 2 cards and draw 3

It isn't looking bad. U can copy any creature in play only for 2 mana each turn. Maybe it will be played in Mono Blue Controls.

this is pretty janky...

i like the fact that if u morph it, it costs 4U instead of 3UU, making it splashable. Plus, instant speed copying is just fantastic if u ask me.

Not only instant, but morph is a static ability that does not use the stack...

This is very playable, and very good with Thelonite Hermit. I like it.

I like this card.. this could be one of mono blues new win conditions, at the very least a very powerful sideboard card.
