Advent Of The Afterlife (set)

Monsters

The Rejected Soul, Gizuhari
Dark
Level 3
Fiend / Effect
Atk 1200 Def 800

When this card is sent from the field, hand, or deck to the graveyard, put the card face up in your deck and shuffle it. When you draw this card, when it is face up in your deck, special summon it to your side of the field and destroy one spell or trap card and one monster on your opponent's side of the field. The effect of this card can only be used once.

-Description- A horrible, greedy man to begin with. He passed away holding all of his possesions in his arms so that no one would ever be able to take them. Now, even the spirits in the depths of the earth are not willing to grant his soul eternal life.

-Image- Gizuhari is being thrown out of a coffin as all the spirits on the ground are sticking their tongues out at him. He is smiling and one of his hands is glowing white and the other is glowing black.

Paraventia Paradoxa
Light
Level 4
Fairy / Normal
Atk 1900 Def 1300

-Description- Enter the forbidden city of Paradormel and you will find this creature. She guards the noble treasures of King Quintosca. Do not anger her.

-Image- Picture a common angel, in a white robe, with a halo, and floating in front of a treasure. Now simply add silver spikes growing out of each shoulder, elbow, and kneecap, which rips the robe in those places. She holds a massive sabre/ninja sword (kinda like Sephiroth's sword from FFVII, but at the tip, it bends back to form a hook of some sort) and a shield made to look like the card Wingweaver.

Rotting Edgar
Earth
Level 4
Zombie / Effect
Atk 1650 Def 1600

When this card attacks, while a face up "Rotting Elmira" is on your side of the field, inflict full battle damage to an opponent's life points (as if it were attacking directly) irregardless if it attacks a monster or not.

-Description- Lonesome without his sweetheart by his side, this man commited suicide and joined his darling in the afterlife.

-Image- A decaying man with a knife stuck in his heart. He is smiling as he sees his lover, Elmira, in the distance. He is running through a graveyard to reach her.

Rotting Elmira
Earth
Level 3
Zombie / Effect
Atk 100 Def 2100

When this card attacks, while a face up "Rotting Edgar" is on your side of the field, switch the atk and def of this card only during the battle phase.

-Description- She was struck by a car and died just 13 days before she was to marry. Now she waits for her companion, Edgar, to join her when he passes on.

-Image- She is hugging her fiance, Rotting Edgar, and blowing her nose at the same time. She blows so hard, part of her brain oozes out of her nostril and she looks in shocked amazement.

Hope's Hateful Cousin
Dark
Level 2
Fiend / Effect
Atk 900 Def 700

Flip: Draw three cards from the top of your deck. Show all of them to your opponent and he/she picks two of them to be removed from play. In addition, you must look in your deck for the same named cards that were removed from play by this effect and also remove them from play. The other card is put in to your hand.

-Description- You know the saying "Wherever there is light, there is also dark." Well, this monster is as dark as they get!

-Image- Two candles are burning. One is burning brightly, but the other has a dark blue flame and is growing much bigger than the other one. The dark flame has two arms and a huge mouth. It is in the process of strangling the other candle's flame to death.

Spells

Underground Rumors
Normal Spell Card

This card is treated as a Normal Trap Card, but the effect is still treated as a Spell effect. It's activation can occur during your opponent's turn. Add two cards from your hand to the graveyard and then select one card from your graveyard and add that to your hand.

-Image- Very simple. One zombie is whispering in to another zombie's ear. The zombie that is listening looks surprised.

The Good, The Bad, and The Good?!
Field Spell Card

The atk of all Light and Dark monsters on your side of the field is increased by 500. If one of your Light monsters battles an opponent's Dark monster, destroy your monster immediately without applying damage calculation. If one of your Dark monsters battle an opponent's Light monster, destroy your monster immediately without applying damage calculation.

-Image- Dark Magician magically brings out a huge steak and is feeding it to Blue Eyes White Dragon. Blue Eyes sticks it's tongue out like a dog, and you can see in it's eyes a great deal of satisfaction. Dark Magician is smiling in return and petting the dragon.

Traps

R.I.P.
Continuous Trap Card

Every current monster on your side of the field is treated as a Zombie. You cannot normal summon, special summon, or set any more monsters from your hand that aren't Zombies to begin with. Every time your opponent destroys one of your monsters and sends it to the graveyard, special summon that monster back to your side of the field with 300 atk points less than it previously had. When the attack of a monster that is continually special summoned by this card's effect reaches 0, that card is removed from play.

-Image- Right in front of a gravestone, a hand rises from the ground. It holds a dagger in the hand and green blood is dripping from it.

-There will be more cards coming soon. I hope you enjoy!

King Quintosca
Light
Level 8
Fairy / Effect
Atk 2950 Def 2550

This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card can only be special summoned by removing from play three Light monsters and paying 800 life points. During each of your turns, choose one of the following effects to activate:
-If this card succesfully attacks your opponent's life points directly, return one spell card from your graveyard to your hand
-Remove one monster, on your opponent's side of the field, from play. If your choose this effect, decrease this cards original atk by 500 each time it removes a monster from play. This card cannot attack the same turn it uses this effect.
-If this card is switched to defense position, during your opponent's next turn negate the effect of one card he/she plays and destroy it.

-Description- This monster is the king of all that is good. It rules over light and vanquishes all that bring chaos. Do not judge him by his looks or you're in for a big surprise.

-Image- A small, oval-shaped fairy. It resembles the appearance of an egg. He has tiny arms and legs, a crystal crown, huge wings (the size of a condor's), and a septar that stands taller than him.

The Gravemaster - Korijya
Dark
Level 5
Zombie / Effect
Atk 2000 Def 2400

Any monster that battles this card, when this card is in defense mode, the monster that attacks with an attack equal to or less than this card's defense is automatically destroyed. If your opponent doesn't decide to attack with any monsters during their turn you can pay 1000 life points to special summon one monster with an attack of 1500 or less from your graveyard in face up attack position.

-Description- A gravedigger that fell in to an unused grave and snapped his neck. Now, as the undead, he vows that no soul will ever be sent six feet under again.

-Image- A dead man that is nothing but skin and bones. He holds a shovel in one of his hands and is dressed in nothing but tattered cloth. His neck hangs limp on one side because it was almost snapped clear off when he died.

Morphicon, The Holy Knight
Light
Level 4
Fairy, ? / Effect
Atk 1800 Def 1600

This card can have two Types at the same time, however, one of those Types must always be Fairy.

-Description- A magical fairy that mimics it's foes appearance. For some strange reason it cannot cloak it's third wing on it's back. Some of this creatures powers are unknown.

-Image- Picture the face of a chameleon on a persons body. It has three wings; two are placed normally and the third is pointed upward from behind it's back. It is dressed in a multi-colored robe.

Headless Zombie
Dark
Level 4
Zombie / Effect
Atk 2400 Def 0

If you decide to attack with this card, flip a coin and call it. If you call it right, the attack goes through. If you call it wrong, the attack is negated and you must destroy one monster on your side of the field.

-Description- Have you ever heard the story of "Sleepy Hollow"? This is the Headless Horseman's cousin. He loves using the cannon he drags around with him, but his aim lacks due to the fact that he has no head.

-Image- Limping on one leg, it drags a cannon that was used during the Revolutionary War. He is nothing but a skeleton now and is missing his head. In the background you can see another headless spectre, riding a horse, and holding a flaming pumpkin in one hand.

Spells

The Strong Side Of The Field
Normal Spell Card

When there is more than just one Type on your side of the field, activate this card. The effect of this card depends on how many monsters are on your side of the field with different Types:
1 monster - Draw three cards from your deck. From those three cards, any monster that has a level of 5 or higher is automatically special summoned to your side of the field, ignoring the summoning conditions. All other effects of the creatures that were summoned stay the same. Put the rest of the cards you drew in to your hand.
2 or more monsters - Draw one card from your deck.

-Image- A "Morphicon, The Holy Knight" stands on the edge of a cliff with a card floating above each of it's three wings. It is raining very hard, but you can see the cards glowing with a white aura.

Traps

The Temple On The Mountain
Continuous Trap Card

Remove two Light and two Dark monsters in your deck from play. As long as two or more Light and two or more Dark monsters are removed from play, you only take damage to your life points when your opponent attacks directly. In addition, every time you draw a card, your opponent takes 300 damage.

-Image- A tall mountain with a temple the size of a toolshed, sitting on top. It glows white and purple. On one side of the mountain is a graveyard covered in mist and on the other side is a lush, green valley with little fairies dancing around a beacon of light that leads to the sky.

-Hope everyone enjoys these new cards. More will be on the way soon.

Very nice set. Lol, I definitely know how you feel, my MOD set got basically no feedback at first (it was a 100 card set and I got my second piece of feedback at #59).

The Rejected Soul, Gizuhari - Pretty original. Good card.

Paraventia Paradoxa - Meh, another 1900 normal attacker...kinda like a Fairy version of Insect Knight/Gemini Elf/Vorse Raider/etc.

Rotting Edgar - I'll reword the effect to make it more clear:

When a "Rotting Elmira" is face up on your side of the field, during battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points.

Rotting Elmira - Good card.

Hope's Hateful Cousin - Pretty broken, as it's 2 free cards, and most people would see the other effect as merely deck thinning or RftDD fuel. I suggest making it 1 of the cards in your hand and 2 get removed.

Underground Rumors - Why not just make it a Trap Card? Also, somewhat broken. I recommend discarding 2 cards from your hand to add 1 card from your Graveyard to your hand.

The Good, The Bad, and the Good?! - Well, it's...interesting. Pretty good card though.

R.I.P. - How about making it so that the monsters are destroyed if their ATK is less than 0?

I agree with some of the cards being broken. Sometimes, for some strange reason, I don't realize I'm making some pretty broken cards until someone tells me. What I'm trying to say is thanks. I fixed up some of the cards, but I don't think you understand what the effect of Rotting Edgar was. I changed that too. Maybe you will know what I was trying to do now.

Thanks again and if you decide to come back to see some more of my cards, check out my story. I think you will find it pretty good. So far I have gotten some good replies and I could always use more support for my story. Thanks again.

Is this real, or do we exist in a dream? Nothing is permanent, everything has an end. Will the Universe collapse on itself or expand so much that it breaks apart like an old rubber band? Will a grand disaster befall us or are the scientists full of crap?

Who knows....

Oh, yeah, ummm... nice cards

Nice, even in the mountain... no, Galactic perportion of creepy-ness in the set! Fairies, Zombies, Fiends, interesting!

heh... There needs to be a Ghost-type, Demon-Type, and God-type, dont you think? It would be perfect for this set!

Karbathinga, Graveyard Assistant
Dark
Level 4
Fiend / Effect
Atk 1825 Def 1400

When your opponent targets cards in his/her graveyard for the effect of a card he/she controls, draw one card from your deck.

-Description- One of the most kind and noble of the dark fiends. Whenever something rises from the grave he contacts his spirits for maximum support.

-Image- Looks just like a man in a tuxedo, but has a purple tint to his skin color. Two spirits are following him. It looks like they are having a conversation.

Winkiedink, The Abnormal Fairy
Light
Level 3
Fairy / Effect
Atk 500 Def 1600

When this card is sent to the graveyard, after being attacked in def mode and destroyed, special summon this monster in 2 stand by phases after this card was sent to the graveyard. When this card is special summoned by this effect, increase the attack of this card by the original def of this card.

-Description- This is the only fairy in known existance to have 10 eyes and look almost like a diamond with wings. It states that when this monster is destroyed, it comes back as a deep red ruby to exact revenge on the one that killed it.

-Image- 10 eyes and a body that looks like a diamond with wings. Half of it is starting to glow red and 5 of it's eyes look extremely angered.

Spells

Death Becomes Them
Normal Spell Card

Select one monster in your graveyard with an atk of 1600 or less and remove it from play. From your deck and hand, select the same named cards and remove them from play also. In 6 turns, special summon one of those monsters that was removed from play and increase it's atk by the total amount of atk from the cards with the same name that were removed from play.

-Image- A spiraling vortex to a different dimension appears in the distance. Three Mataza The Zappers are being sucked in.

Traps

Flower On The Grave
Continuous Trap Card

As long as this card remains on the field, Zombie monsters can attack your opponent's life points directly. If this happens, the battle damage your opponent receives from each attack is 800.

-Image- A tiny, white, little flower on the grave of a noble human being. A white/blue beam of light shoots out from the middle of the flower and strikes a dark monster in the air.

Hint: Works great with Spirit Reaper.

Nice cards i must say, but...

Karbathinga, the Graveyard Assistant- Hes good, but i'd reduce Atk by 50 or 100 points. And the name is funny to pronounce, sounds like "Carbo Thing-a" [4/5]

Winkiedink, the Abnormal Fairy- really wierd name... anyways, just some errors in text, Should say "... Special summon this monster after your 2nd Stand-by Phase after this card was destroyed.". Heh, nice comeback monster, kinda like Treeborn Frog. [4.1/5]

Death becomes Them- Odd effect, heh... If it was for a field monster... use on Proto-Cyber Dragon, and when time comes[if you had 3 Cyber Dragons] you would get a 8700 Atk monster[if it was proto] or a 9600 Atk monster[if it was real Cyber]... But it's not gonna work sence it's for Graveyard. I give a 3/5

Flower on the grave- ... Eh... funny... perfect for "Zombie Maddness". I guess it's ok. [3.4/5]

I lowered Karbathinga's (Car-bath-ing-a)atk by 25. Why you say? Because there is no monster I know of with a 1825 atk. That's why.

Dude, "Death Becomes Them" is when they are removed from play, not in the graveyard. The only time you need something in the graveyard is when you want to select a card with 1600 atk or less and remove it from play. That's it. No more graveyard stuff after that.

I corrected the Winkiedink card. Yeah, it was kind of slurry a little. I was tired for some reason and consumed a serious amount of..., how should I say it,...spirits. If you get what I'm saying.

The reason I made the Flower On The Grave card is for Spirit Reaper mainly. I know you can only hold one in the deck now, but I just had to make a cheatful way to get his effect to work to the best of it's abilities. It wouldn't be destroyed by that card anyway with the whole Spirit Reaper target effect thing. You know. Other cards would work nice with this like weak Zombie cards with an attack lower than 800, so they can dish out some more LP damage. Work well with Robbin' Goblin and Robbin' Zombie too.

Thanks for the comment on these cards. I always appreciate the output.

Um... You must have missread my comment... I said if the card needed a Field placed card, you could use it on Proto-Cyber Dragon, and use the 3 other Cyber Dragons[because Proto changes to a Cyber Dragon when on the field] to get the boosted Cyber Dragon, but it targets the Graveyard and not the field so that plain is spoiled... I said nothing more of Graveyard after the Proto-Cyber junk about not being active in grave... sorry, if I was confusing...

First of all, don't worry necroshade. Yeah, it was confusing at first, but I got it after a while. Thanks for clearing things up though. Now on to the business at hand...

-Image- A freshly dug grave sits while a monster trips and falls in to it. There is a sign posted next to it. The sign has two slashes through a picture of a fairy and zombie, stating that none of those creatures are allowed to enter the grave.

Skull And Crossbones
Counter Trap

If your opponent tries to inflict effect damage to your life points, negate it and inflict effect damage to his/her life points by twice the amount that he/she would have done to you.

-Image- A blue beam tries to hit someone quivering in fear, but a skull with crossbones is blocking it and aborbing it through it's mouth. It is firing a red beam, from it's eyes, back in the direction the blue beam was coming.

Heh... I had the very same problems with several of my threads, most obvious is the Phantasy Star Online Fantasy Card Thread in my sig{see it if you want}.

All you gotta do is just be persistant... like I have with a Deck Thread that i made with about 200 veiws and only 4 post from people other than myself...

I think people see the thread but just don't care to post about it... however thats just my Opinion... I'm sorry if it seems insulting to anyone reading this message.

Monsters

Vile Mucus Queen
Dark
Level 4
Zombie / Effect
Atk 1800 Def 1500

Every time this card attacks, flip a coin. If the result is heads, your opponent cannot activate a spell or trap card to negate this monster's attack or destroy it. When this card is sent to the graveyard, add one "Bowl Of Maggots" ritual card from your deck to your hand.

-Description- This once powerful woman is now cursed. She picked her nose every single day during her life and now she pays by being completely covered with it for eternity.

-Image- A rotting corpse of a woman. She is covered in green snot. She pulls something out of her nose, which to her surprise is her brain! She is dressed in a long nightgown and the moon is shinging in the background. The light from the moon makes the mucus sparkle.

Maggot Man
Dark
Level 7
Zombie / Effect
Atk 2800 Def 2100

This card can only be ritual summoned by the effect of "Bowl Of Maggots". All monsters on your opponent's side of the field lose 200 atk and cannot change their battle positions. Part of his true arm is sticking out of the mound of maggots and looks like nothing but brown flesh and bones. His new eyes are empty, bottomless holes that seem to go on forever. If he/she selects the card that you would've had in your hand, send your entire hand, and both cards selected for this effect, to the graveyard. After the effect has been decided, show both cards to your opponent.
