battle frontier/tower team, plz suggest

Hi, i'm rather new at creating teams seriously and want to know how this will go. I don't really want to sub out any of my pokemon except maybe the venusaur, and any other suggestions are welcome. The Charizard is shiny. (YEs)

Any suggestions are helpful. Also, what is STAB? <sheepish look>

Looks like a decent team to me. And I am Jealous! The only shinies I have ever had were the Red Gyrados in Gold and spinarak(also in Gold!):(

STAB - Same Type Attack Bonus
For instance, if a fire type pokemon is using a fire move its power will be increased by 50%

For your team I recomend changing solar beam to leech seed on your Venusaur.

I know you don't want to change it, but your charizard would probably be better if you bred it for belly drum or dragon dance... as I doubt you will want to do that use aerial ace (or check if its hidden power is flying) for its 4th move...

Lapras works fine with that moveset, and in battle frontier/tower perish song is excellent as trainers rarely switch out.... ^_^

You're team has too many weaknesses. For example, what would you do against Zapdos?
You need to work on that a bit.
