cartoon wars was one of the funniest south park episodes i've ever seen because they make fun of family guy and there are alot of other funny parts in therealso. Both episdoes were justs hilarious.

Family Guy... no other cartoon actually compares to the actual randomness of the show... The fact that most of the jokes in the show are based on physical humour, flashbacks or sex is just what makes the show so great...

Peter: Hey hey I got an idea. Lets play "I Never." You got to drink if you did the thing that the person says they never did.
Cleveland: Oh I got one, I never slept with a women with the lights on.
(They all drink.)
Joe: I'll go next, uh I never had sex with Cleveland's wife.
(Quagmire and Cleveland drink.)
Peter: alright lets see uh, I never did a chick in a Logan airport bathroom.
(Only Quagmire drinks.)

Peter: God lets see what else is there um...I never gave a reach-around to a spider monkey while reciting the Pledge of Alligence.

Family Guy... no other cartoon actually compares to the actual randomness of the show... So random, in fact, that there is rarely a cohesive compelling plotline.

I give a lot of credit to the writers of South park for those cartoon wars episodes, because they are pretty spot on creating an assumption that Family Guy is written by fish that pick pop culture topics at random and throw them together.

The first few times I watched Family Guy I was duly impressed. The more I see of it the lower my opinion of the show becomes, because it never changes what is a very basic formula or adds new jokes. On the other hand, South Park has now been running for years and their new material is usually still gut busting.

Family Guy is more disappointing knowing that the creative team is capable of doing more. I know this because American Dad is a far more interesting, humorous and topical show than Family Guy, yet it comes from the same group of people. I have to assume Family Guy is so repetitive and stale because the TV execs think thats what the audience wants. In fact that is probably true, and probably has a lot to do with why the creator started up a new cartoon to expand to a new theme and broaden the humor. The consensus here in this forum supports that assumption anyway.

I like both, but Family Guy FTW. I really liked Adult Swim when it was AquaTeen, SeaLab, Family Guy, Beacon Hill, Oblongs, I know I'm forgetting some, but add Venture Bros and get rid of all the anime, I cant stand it. Or anything dramatic. It should all be comedy. Oh and Futurama. I leave any out? Cuz they all kick *** to some extent, surely we can get 24 hours a day out of all these shows.

The Ginger kids eps was good, and it tought me how to get rid of annoying teachers. Just use the "M" word.

the was the children of the corn episode, just yesterday, i saw one making fun of sudahm hussein, and one about a flag, where 4 white guys are hanging a black guy, then they changed it to every skin color holding hands and hanging the black guy lol....

It's kinda a tough decision but considering that I usually watch more Family Guy than South Park, I'd have to go with Family Guy...

I just saw a couple of new episodes of Family Guy and they were pretty funny, like that one episode where Stewie's lost brother returns and Lois gets all fat and has a heartattack. There were some funny skits here and there but I can't remember at the moment.

There was also the horror episode where Peter finds an ancient skull in his backyard only to realize that his house becomes haunted by ghosts and spirits. Then there was that hilarious scene where the family uses Meg's butt as an exit through the second dimension and Peter puns, "Looks like I made the wrong turn to Albequerque."

The thing I kinda liked about South Park that was funny, were some of the episodes with Mr. Hankey the X-Mas poo, but other than that the show's alright...

meh, to me, family guy is just the same as the simpsons. the only thing that's different is the tv 14 label they slap on and the more offensive humor.
