If I use EotE:CED's effect and then activate Ring of Destruction on it, I still get both effects, right? Since Ring would destroy the monster but not negate the effect I already activated. (costs 4000 lp but opponent will very likly die).

Yes, that works just fine. CED-EotE's effect is not negated if he gets destroyed or removed from play after activating the effect.

yes.you use the effect of the CED and then as a chain you use the ring of destruction.so if you and your opponent have 8 cards each you lose 4000 but he loses 3000+16*300=3000+4800=7800.good.nice combo!!

i don't think so,because if it is actvated it starts a chain .what i mean is the first effect would end up happening after the second.so if you destroy it before you can have the effect activated the effect will have never happened.and if you do do this(as in if it is possible)you make them take 600 less damage because ring and himself are not destroyed by his effect.

No, it does work hades.

The effect of CED-EotE would be the first link in the chain, and then ring of destruction would be the second.

Working backwards, ring of destruction activates and destroys CED-EotE and inflicts damage. However, as it does not negate its effect, the first link of the chain plays, clearing the field etc.

Well Hades would be right..
but the priority ruling ~ which should have been stressed when YGO came out, but no they wait 2-3 years~
would allow the user to activate the effect.. thus your opponent can chain to the effect.. if your opponent choses not to activate the effect ~ only a n00b wud play CED and not immediatly use the effect -_-"~ then u can use ring.. your oppoent can't chain CED's effect since it's a spell speed 1 effect...
