just finished the previews. its was great. i pulled voltanis and the batteryman dragon with some bad rares in the first 5. the additional pack granted me with dreadmaster. these turned out to be great trade bait as i managed two reflect bounder, 2 strike ninja, and 10 other holos by the end of it all.

i honestly forget my record, but overall, the set wasn't too great for draft. basically setting monsters and either burning with misfortune, killing them with tribute monsters, or waiting for them to deck out

also my friend set up his macrocosmos deck. its really tough to play against and is gonna need a decent amount of side deck space to play against. heavy s/t removal and maybe stall too. DD survivor is almost unstoppable

My dueling experience sucked out loud. Mostly setting with the intro of the Invincible Fortress deck released at it.

I only got Doom Lord and Captain as my D-Heroes, got that Battery Dragon, Majestic Mech-Ohka, another Treeborn, and some other cool stuff, but no E-Emergency Call or any new fusions (That wern't rare)

just got back from Richmond for the VA sneak. entered flight instead of open play, and went fr the 4-0.

i got lucky in my packs and got a lot of removal cards, plus d-hero doom lord and cpt tenacious. i also got HERO, but not HERO flash. ERO was unusable, but H wasn't, so i added two. i got real lucky on my last pack and pulled a Voltanis, but traded him at the end for an Ancient Gear Golem. i got the better end, i think. if not, oh well.

i went 4-0 undefeated all the way, only one to do it.

got 10 prize packs, and pulled a Cyber Prima and Cyber Phoenix. booyah!

i didnt buy any of the new packs but i ripped soooo many people off... i got 2 goldd, don zaloog, and a widespread for my dmoc(not mint).. then i traded a dda that was bent in half for a zaborg(pretty close to mint) i dont remember alot of the others but have like 7 goldds now and i played people for cards and won anything good that they might have had....

I went to the previews and got nothing much...I think I had HERO and I got 2 HERO Flash...I got E-Hero Wildwingman, 2 Battery Dragons and traded for Victory Viper and Majestic Mech- Goryuu...i ALSO GOT 1 Majestic-Mech Ohka...There's a guy at the previews that bought...I think it was Voltanis but I'm not sure...for 100$$ !!!!

Mine was a wierd one, and if anoyone reads this who saw me, I'm sorry I had to lie because his father really would get pissed at him if I traded the card to you.


Ok so the day starts out where we buy the packs. We, means I was with my little cousin. The only holo I pulled a Cyber Prima. My cousin pulled an ultimate Baby Harpie pet Dragon (or whatever it's name is.) and in his last pack Elemental Hero Shining Pheonix Enforcer. I forgot to mention before we opened the packs, that there was a kid walking around asking people if they had Shining Pheonix Enforcer.

So the kid ends up sitting down next to us to watch my cousin open his last pack. You can just imagine what hapened. Well maybe not. The kid tries to trade with him. First my cousin wanted to get an H so he could spell hero, so this kid thinks he can trick my cousin by trading him a common. Then he tries to trade Dark Master Zorc. I tried to be nice and say we would think about it but couldn't guarantee anything. I ask him where he would be sitting and he says he'll sit next to him untill he decides.

Not knowing what to do, I leave to get my 6th pack after dueling a couple kids at the area. By the time I came back, some kid stuck up to the table, and for some reason my Cousin didn't see him. The kid got into my manga preview, stole my Toon Dark magician girl, and ran away.

So I come back, pissed, and there are 3 kids surrounding my cousin trying to trade his card, for things like the Envoy of the beginning card from the master collection, with a giant bend going down the card. I finally come up with an excuse. His father. His father controls his deck, his cards, and everything he does with them. I had to lie and say his father was coming and I we had to leave to meet him outside. I get up to leave halfway, and some kid's father comes up to me and says I can wait at the table for his father to come.

I'm forced back to the table... sitting there as I'm surrounded by people wanting the card.


I have to go now, but I'll continue this tonight.

Didn't play, got a box of EOJ for judging though. It had 3 Cyber Prima in (one ultimate) cyber phoenix, the battery dragon thing, an ultimate Wild Wingman, and also a Shining Phoenix Enforcer. Picked up an ultimate Phoenix Enforcer too.

Konami decided again not to send the Toon Dark Magician Girl to UK tournaments. Grr.

Konami decided again not to send the Toon Dark Magician Girl to UK tournaments. Grr.That's really a shame... My TO was left with so many we were all wondering what she was going to do with what looked like 300-400 remaining after the event, but then, it didnt help that Shadow of Infinity created such a demand to where we had to turn away people who wanted to keep playing Open Dueling just to get product, as we almost ran out, then, the exact opposite happens with Enemy of Justice, and we had to resort to having Full Box Matches towards the end of the day just so she could get "rid" of more product, especially with the fact that that was our last "Event" until Power of the Duelist in August.

The only SP card we ever got was Ancient Lamp for SOI, so we all thought Konami had a change of heart with the SP2 promos. Evidently not.
It's Konami's right to decide what they send where, but its quite disheartening to see their lack of support for non-US players. Luckily yesterday, the TO had lots of leftover HL2 cards, so could give those out.

Anyhow, highlights of the day.

Someone got two ultimate (of Super) rares in a single pack. Happened right in front of me.

An adult (he was 30+) was trying to get me to award a game loss to a kid (13 yrs I'd say) over a minor infraction.

One (young) player was lamenting the fact he had nothing in his deck to get rid of his opponent's Clock Tower Prison. He was holding three 'Icarus Attack' in his hand, and had a Winged Beast on the field. It took him about ten turns until he actually read what Icarus Attack did.

An eleven-year old won the whole tournament. He happens to be our Duelist Academy regional champion, so it wasn't that unexpected.

I had a pretty good day overall, I don't think anyone pulled a Clock Tower Prison. I went 3-1, I lost to a kid that had the perfect fairy deck, and I mean perfect. He even said lol. So here's my deck.

If your other D-heros get Destroyed, you can bring them back.

But anyway I get there at about 10:20 and the first flight was already starting, so I signed up for the 2nd flight. I go and hang out with my friends and duel and stuff. I get 3 Slate Warriors, 3 Bazoos, 2 DDV, a Zaborg, and 1 Reflect Bounder from trades.

Now for my downsides

There was this one kid that I saw using Avalanching Aussa's effect to bring out Blazing Hiita. I was like WTF?!?!?!?!?!

Then he thought he could activate Dimensional Fissure right after the Damage Step, thinking it could remove whatever.

The kid didn't know didly about the game.

Overall, I think my SOI experiance was better.

I pulled Diamond Dude, D-time, Ajudcator or whatever that ultra rare fairy is, Mystical Mech-Ohka, some little fairy, and a Miraculous Descent. traded the big fairy for Volt Dragon and Magical Merchant, bought 2 Inferno Reckless Summons, and traded Ohka,RftDD, and Diamond Dude for Power Bond, then DR1 Amazoness Swords Woman for an ultimate rare Ohka. Then I spotted a Pot of Avarice for $10 and bought it immediatly.

Went, got my packs, got nothing that allowed me to put together a really competetive deck. Not a single card that would let me deal with a massive Birdman Joe or a Viper XX03 with a powercapsule. Heck, my biggest non-tribute monster was 1600 =P

For my 'game over' pack I got Super Electromagnetic Voltech Dragon.

As I was saying I was surrounded by about 3 kids with one's father watching me from the sidelines like I couldn't leav unless I traded with him.

My cousin's father wasn't really coming and I had no other way to get out. My cousing is a cryer and he was about to burst out in tears because he didn't know what to do. I was getting iritated so I finally told off everyone at the table. i said something like "I think you people have better things to do than annoy my cousin and me because you want a stupid card. Go annoy someone else to death and leave us alone."

I Picked up my cousin by the arm and walked out of there. I firgot one thing though... My dark magician Girl was stolen, so I ended up having to buy another 5 packs to get the promo. In ended up getting crap, until on the last two packs I got Victory Viper and then Cyber Pheonix, which was the reason I came to this thing in the first place. But I had forgot one thing. With the 3 ets of packs we bought, we could also redeem 3 extra packs. One from each set of cards, as long as I "Dueled" 5 kids.

So i couldn't get back into the room where 3 angry kids and one ******* father awaited me to return, so i made up names on each slip. I walked up the the counter th eigve a judge my slip, and low and behold I got the one F---ing judge that looks at your form when you turn it in. Well... I guess there weren't any duelists name Tom Hanks, Captain Tenacious, and Diamond Dork, so he told me I couldn't have the extra pack unless I got real names... Now knowing what to do, miraculously, guess who walked right up behind me? A friend of my cousins father! he had brought his son to this event and saw us. We told him what happend, and he told the judge we had to leave and we only added the names on there because we had an emergency. He let me have the last three packs. i didn't incluse 2 of the cards I got in the packs. A Miracluous Desent, D-Time, and I deleted one card in my list to add the final card I got. E-Hero Pheonix Enforcer.
