Aethermage's Touch - 2WU
Instant
Reveal the top four cards of your library. You may put a creature card from among them into play with "At the end of your turn, return this creature to its owner's hand." Then put the rest of the cards revealed this way on the bottom of your libary in any order.

EOT Aethermage's Touch, Top, Ghostway, Otherwordly Journey, this card is amazing.

This card looks like it is going to be really fun to play, I want to get 4 badly, but I hope they don't end up like starting out at $20, me getting them, then going down to like $8, like Twincast did to me.

Given the antisynergy with itself and cmc of 4, it'll probably actually be a 3-of.
Who needs to keep the creature in play? On a cheap 187 creature you get two triggers, card neutral.
Naturally, blue and white have alway had the weaker 187 creatures, so the third color would be key trying to maximize the best targets:
Possible 187 targets in standard:
-Ravenous Rats
-Spawnbroker
-Civic Wayfinder/Wood Elves
-Orzhov Pontiff (the sheer versitility is a nice touch)
-Carven Catalyd
-Blind Hunter
-Loxodon
-Nek/Banshee
-Izzet Chronarch (this one could get silly)
-Dismisser? (probably not, as the power level is low; but the interaction has to be noted)
-Godo (Godo luvs waylay tricks, swinging for 16)
-Angel of Dispair
Fatty dragons are fine too, but then you'd have to go the top route, since you can't saturate the deck with fat *and* color problems.
I don't think there's enough cohesion there for a 187 deck yet; we'll see when the rest of the spoiler is up.
Drift of Phantasms/Dimir Houseguard are also interesting.

I highly doubt this is a four of, just because it is a somewhat narrow effect that needs some set up for maximum effect.

It's really hard to judge this card without knowing the rest of the set. If this is one of the staple cards, we might end up getting stronger U/W cip effects on more expensive creatures.

ow hurts your opponents alot getting a big fattie into at EOT and attacking with it the next then other worldy journeying it heh your opponent gets screwed

white blue has had like three of these cards now and this is the first time it's been for a creature.. :( I can't think of a good reason to want to put out a creature in blue white controllish decks unless it was to win and that doesn't sound like what this card does... maybe a combo card with something else heh chronarch... or auratouched mage and flickerform or something but well... I don't think it's a great combo card either... I'd rather pick my card and gain life...
Oh man, the synergy this has with greater good is just wrong. I can actually see this being a 4-of in a greater good deck, just for the sacrificing to greater good of a dragon (ie yosei)
wow, dissension doesnt look half bad :/

This has constructed potential. Remember that you can play it at the end of your opponent's turn, and thus have an attacker.
Rba basically has the summary of its best uses - with a sacrifice outlet.

I think this card belongs in WB more than it does in WU. Angel of Despair and Kokusho look like the obvious targets to me, with the Angel wanting to be Ghostwayed or Journeyed. On turn 4, if you've done the Angel twice, you won the game. Kokusho wants to be thrown into Miren, which if you EOT'd it, means a swing of 20 life. Another card with good synergy is Ghost Dad, since he needs no additional card to remain in play.

Fun Combo (Allbeit not that powerful)...
W/G/U
AEthermage's Touch into a Auratouched Mage into the Wurmweaver's Coil and Block. Before EoT, mana permitting, use the Coils ability, get a 6/6, return the mage, untap, take your turn.
With the right amount of mana in play, it can be a fairly hefty swing in board position, especially in draft

That doesn't work too well. Wurmweaver Coil wants to enchant a green creature because it has "enchant green creature", not "enchant creature".
That is, unless you made it green somehow.

ummm...
this card can be sunforgered...
This will make decks with forger be even more crazy(and maybe even viable with more dissension stuff), now all i'm hoping for is a white/blue counterspell with a cc less then or equal to 4...

You don't actually have to wait untill the end of your opponents turn to attack with the creature just like Gleancrawler before it this card states at the end of "your" turn. hm... woebringer demon? before your opponents upkeep into your upkeep heh neat but eh oh well.
This has constructed potential. Remember that you can play it at the end of your opponent's turn, and thus have an attacker.

Very good point by Claymore66.
Its end of YOUR turn. Not end of turn. Which gives you a blocker and an attacker.
Against Agro - Pull a Hierach as a blocker to gain 4 life and take out a critter. Attack next turn - Return at end of turn - Replay next turn.
Might be enough to shatter most assaults.
The Ghostway/Otherworldy Journey trick.. I dont believe in em. To hard to set up. Would be sooo nice. But to hard (unless it is done thru Sunforger).
I can see it being used without 187 effects thou. How about a Keiga or Meloku to block?? Meloku can even leave a toke or two to buy you time aginst Agro.
I like that the card digs 4 cards deep. It will help you find you Meloku/Keiga (Or Windreaver if it has the abilities that has been spoiled).

From the point when i found out the order of the guilds coming out i knew i would play u/w. but now u/w/b sounds good, and now it sounds even better with this. Mortify, Wraths, Counters, Aethermage's Touch in a Angel of Despair, then attack then ghostway or otherwordly journey the angel away so it doesnt go to hand. Then ride it out on counterspells. Lots of potential, and if any of the guilds have any bomb creatures it could combo with that. Im definitely getting 4 of these.

Just look at all of the cards that this has synergy with though, Sleight of hand, telling time, top, and the list goes on, I think, lol. This card can potentially hit a Yosei, a U Dragon, which ever that is, and it can easily fit into a control deck as a 2-3 of, as an alt win, incase you need it now. I think that this card has a lot of potential, I want to see it played.

it has potential, but it would need a top in play, or some card fixer like that, and if u want the card to stay in play u would also need some card like otherwordly journey or ghostway.
my advice: don't invest ur money on this card as soon as it gets out. many people has made this mistake with cards like twincast and abyssal nocturnus

Why not make it 3 color UWG...
accel to 7 mana
eot congregation at dawn
eot AEthermage's Touch
I think Angel Weirding will get an update, especially if you find some sort've sac outlet.
Who wants to break this card? :P Show of hands!

my advice: don't invest ur money on this card as soon as it gets out. many people has made this mistake with cards like twincast and abyssal nocturnuslol i did this with ravager and got more money than i paid, i even opened a foil one and in a draft after people had made ravager broken, this kid passed it to sum1 who hates ravager....
i think this card would be great in limited not sure about t2 yet...
mebe build a deck with it and test it out on the side...
Touch + Cloudstone Curio bouncing a CIP effect creature?
Touch + Mindleech Mass with something giving creatures haste?
Unfortunatley theres not much in the way of Sacrificing outlets in Rav Block, Maybe a Gristleback or a Rusakla outlet.
Holy crap, this + shard phoenix = nice (H)
other than that, i just hope theres an engine on Dissension

this card IS HYPED. If your running U/W control, which has like 8 creatures. Good god you have such a small target to hit, not worth it.

Exactly what I was thinking. This could actually be a replacement for Gifts Ungiven. With this card, Greater Gifts could actually out-combo Heartbeat. Combo off turn 4? Yes please.

ok kird ape, u can get lucky with this one, i'm just saying...
this card is nice (i would like to play it myself, great fan of u-w control) but in t2 we'll have to wait and see,
hope all of u can get ur yosei and miren it or journey it :)

i think that the G/W/U angle somebody suggested would be excellent for a deck involving abusing the touch. maybe something along the lines of...
The Bad Touch
Creatures:
4 Birds of Paradise
4 Weathered Wayfarer
4 Wood Elves
4 Loxodon Hierarch
4 Keiga, the Tide Star
4 Yosei, the Morning Star
Other:
3 Aethermage's Touch
3 Congregation at Dawn
3 Greater Good
3 Sensei's Divining Top
Lands:
2 Miren, the Moaning Well
4 Temple Garden
4 G/U Dissension Dual
3 U/W Dissension Dual
1 Brushland
1 Yavimaya Coast
1 Adarkar Wastes
1 Eiganjo Castle
1 Okina, Temple to the Grandfathers
1 Minamo, School at Water's Edge
3 Forest
1 Plains
1 Island
SB: (just a thought)
3 Naturalize (Blood Moon wrecks this)
3 Pithing Needle
4 Wrath of God
3 Glare of Subdual
2 Kodama of the North Tree
Greater Good and Miren hijinx with Keiga and Yosei... what could be more fun? Mind you, this is very rough idea but for decks already running Congregation at Dawn, the Touch adds a little extra firepower.
