Hi,
If you look at the TOP 8 Decks at the PTQ Boise http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=mtgevent/phi05ptq/0219boise
You find a interseting Intruder Alarm Combo deck.
I have playtested this deck and come to the conclusion that this deck is suboptimal.
It need to be faster (mox diamond)
It need to be more reliable (intuition)
...
Consequently i come up with this deck:

Dude the deck needs compulsion. Once you have the combo out if you don't have a way to draw then you are screwed. Dude, Fire ball should be a one of and I agree on the Ghitu Fire idea. I would take out 2 Opt and a Flash for 3 Compulsion. I agree the deck stands out but please fix the topic name.

The fact of the matter is if this deck gets going off nothing can proctect them from losing. Life can't out live this. With the grids out control cant catch up and that is only a few reasons this deck is awesome and fun.

I just thinking about that. (You can play around Wastlands). But how do you stack your spells correctly.
Other improvments (with comments)

3 Forbidden Orchard (3 is enough)
4 Yavimaya Coast
1 City of Traitors (its faster and you can use Crop Rotation to get it, consequently Intruder Alarm can hit the table earlier )

4 Condescend (better then counterspell, because you can search for puzzle/combo peaces )

3 Merchant Scroll (can search for puzzle/combo peaces)
1 Enlightened Tutor (use with Merchant Scroll to get Intruder Alarm/ Maybe add Compulsion)

1 Ghitu Fire (Yea Dark Light you are right)
1 Fireball
1 Vampiric Tutor (just an other tutor)

Final remark: if you have Intruder Alarm and Forbidden Orchard in play (but you cant kill) you can stop your opponent from attacking (just tap Forbidden Orchard + take a manburn+ untap all attacking creatures)

How to play the deck correctly?

Dude if you untap all his creatures they are still attacking reguardless. I just Don't trust using anything other than a compulsion to fetch everything in my deck and a cunning wish with enough mana and a mirari will make Wake look tame. Mox Diamond doesn't work in the deck. You have too few lands to use it effectively. Best thing I see is using the Wish to fetch any real problem solver and finish the game.

The Condescend seems to be a good deal I only hope that I can make this deck work.

And if you untap the creature during their attack phase? (yust like maze of ith)

but the maze says that it untaps them and removes them from combat. You must be mistaken. The deck wins when it hits so I replaced the opts with Vamp Tutors. If you have a way to draw or a single Wish you win. Simple and yet so sophisticated.

I know this is an old forum but i just wanted to state that index would be much better for this deck than opt.
