I decided to build this deck because I like the flavor of Isao. As fas as offensive cards go, Isao is the only green card that really fits the deck. I decided it might be a good idea to take advantage of green's accelearation and deck thining possibilities in STE and Kodama's Reach.
Creatures (25)
4 Devoted Retainer
4 Samurai of the Pale Curtain
4 Sakura-Tribe Elder
3 Isao, Enlightened Bushi
4 Kitsune Blademaster
3 Nagao, Bound by Honor
3 Takeno, Samurai General
Spells (15)
4 Reciprocate
3 Terashis Verdict
4 Otherworldly Journey
4 Kodamas Reach
Land (20)
3 Tranquil Garden
3 Tendo Ice Bridge
10 Plains
4 Forest
other cards I considered
Kodamas Banner no artifacts mean hate cards are dead cards
Umezawas Jitte see above
Terashis Grasp depending on metagame
Kodamas Might not enough arcane to abuse
Shining Shaol not enough high-mana white cards to use (?)
Kondas Hatamoto instead of Samurai of Pale Curtain
Bushi Tenderfoot instead of Devoted Retainer
So, what do you guys think? can this be competitive? is it just a worse option than playing mono-white or W/R Samurai?
This deck seems pretty concrete, consistency wise, and i think the mana acceleration was a good choice other than making Mono-White.
I think this has a chance against most of the other decks, but what it lacks is a nicer combo.
Not bad OverAll.

20 Land? I don't really think this would work well. 4 Reach seems inasne especially with 4 Tribe-elder and your beating curve starts at 3. I think that taking out the Reachs and Retainers would be wise, as the Hound of Konda is just NUTS, don't know how in the world you can possibly leave this guy out. Same with the Jitte. You can't really leave the nutz out of the deck. Also why not the Legend lands? With Horobi in the format (even though not much played), and alot of Legends in your deck, they just work well. With these changes...
-4 Kodama's Reach
-4 Devoted Retainer
-1 Tendo Ice Bridge (This ruins your curve if you draw 2)
-1 Plains
+3 Hound of Konda
+3 Jitte
+1 Forest
+1 Plains
+1 Onika
+1 Castle
The Sideboard should include T. Grasp, the fourth Verdict, and maybe Kami of Ancient Law, Ghostly Prison, and/or 8.5?

The STE and Kodama's Reach just don't fit here. Why would you want green color fixers when that is your splash color?
If you're going to splash for Isao, I think Kentaro is a must have. Despite not being a Samurai, 8.5 seems way too powerful to leave out. And as the legendary count rises, I think you have to strongly consider Day of Destiny over Nagao as the "Crusade" in the deck. And Takeno has to be right out given his cost. This format does not look like it will be Onslaught slow.

wheres good ol' opal eye....he's a samurai and a darn good one with isao on the table. my WG runs more legendarys (ies?) so im playing with 2 day of destiny and a couple undaituke (?) for some speed. you can pop out a turn 2 isao if you didnt get a honda's hatamoto or sensei, golden tail. my one drops are 3 devoted retainers and 2 or 3 etheral haze (heavy reanimator in my area). ive also been criticized for running heart of light/opal eye. i dunno, it works for me =)

why not put in one konda, lord of eiganjo, to fully use Takeno samurai general :) They are both quite expensive though.

Kentaro, the Smiling Cat could work with Isao in the situations with mana issues as well as using your green mana for other spells.

the deck I'm playing with goes like this:
Creatures:
3 Devoted Retainer
1 Konda, Lord of Eiganjo
2 Takeno, Samurai General
3 kitsune Blademaster
3 Isao, Enlightened Bushi
2 Opal-Eye, Konda's Yojimbo
3 Kentaro, the Smiling Cat
3 Samurai of the Pale Curtain
(20)
Spells:
4 Kodama's Reach
3 Time of Need
4 Otherwordly Journey
4 Reciprocate
2 Day of Destiny
(17)
Artifacts:
3 Umezawa's Jitte
(3)
Lands:
11 Plains
5 Forest
2 Tranquil Garden
1 Okina, Temple of Grandfathers
1 Eiganjo Castle
(20)
SD:
4 Terashi's Grasp
3 Ghostly Prison
2 Eight-and-a-Half-Tails
3 Kami of Ancient Law
3 Terashi's Veredict
I believe the time of need's are quite essential when u have many legends. I thought of Sensei's divining top for turn1 drop but with this deck all mana is necessary so I don't know if I should put or not... same goes to the 20 mana, maybe 2 more? and what should I take out then?
comments or suggestions please :)

I agree with that... My personal view is that Konda is a must due to his abilities, and when getting +5/+5 from Takeno, his power really comes out... after blokking he's a monster, with two creatures in play... And if the cost's the problem, why don't you use Heartbeat of Spring and Sakura-tribe Elder??
In building a W/G deck concentrating on the samuraipower, but I'll list it later, since I've a lot to fill (next cardpot's coming after a while...)
Anyways, plz list other good ways to ensure mana for those fellows.:D
