I'm surprised no one has made this topic yet.
Samurai Beats is very consistant and overpowers every other agro deck. Their creatures might have better abilities, but yours simply are bigger. With a bunch of tricks to force bad trades and save from removal, I think Samurai Beats is the deck that will shape this block. The build I'm testing now is
4 Isamaru
4 Kami of Ancient Law
4 Samurai of the Pale Curtain
2 Kentaro
2 Sensei Golden Tail
4 Kitsune Blademaster
4 Nagao
4 Blessed Breath
4 Otherworldly Journey
3 Shining Shoal
3 Umezawa's Jitte
2 Eiganjo Castle
20 Plains
SB
4 Ghostly Prison
4 Terashi's Grasp
3 8-1/2 Tails
4 Horoki, Dust Drinker
Most cards are obvious, but some need some explaination
Kami of the Ancient Law- Shrine.dec is so good.
Kitsune Blademaster- Best 3 drop Samurai in the block, especially with Jitte. It also takes down Kodamas after a Journey.
Jitte- Before this card, the deck lacked late game power against control. Jitte makes it so they have to kill every creature you control with a hard kill, not something like Hideous Laughter or the black Shoal.
White Shoal- Again, late game to punch through 5 damage of their Kokusho or mid game to kill cheap legends.
Other cards look like they should be in the deck, but aren't
Day of Destiny- On paper it's good, but it only pumps 12 of your creatures. Jitte is just better. This may deserve a spot main, but I have yet to test with it enough.
Thoughts? Your builds?

The build I'm running can beat Shrines usually (as long as it gets Kami of the Ancient Law) and owns G/R spirits with Jitte. B/x control is very tough though. Put simply, B/x control is removal + Kokusho, and it is built to beat agro. This deck had crazy troubles with the deck before, but Jitte helps by making every creature a threat every turn.
Personally, I like Mono White over W/r. More consistant.

i have played againts a deck of this archtype that is pretty much all legends except kami and it plays that crusade thingy. it lost to my honden deck quite handily. i though the speed would get me and i did lose a couple to otherwordly journey when i was realing on a final judgement but that is about all.

shining shoal! it's a must have... u have plenty white creatures so u can always lose one for shoal... try replacing it for the 4 cage of hands...
also u should consider playing otherwordly journey... one of the best white cards.... if u want to protect a creature why not remove it from game and return it at end of turn with a +1/+1 counter on it?? :)

The Kitsune Patron should be run in a white aggro deck because of the shinning shoal and the fact that you will be gaining life every turn becaue your attacking so often and in a game where your back on your heals uthe patron will keep your life total up because it triggers off every creature that attacks both yours and your opponents. My samurai deck is very similar to the first posted here except I am using the oath keeper and Indebted Samurai together with Sensi and the Kami to defeat hondens and then just oath keeper on samurai I expect to die as they come back to play. Granted its kinda mana intensive. Just a thought for those who don't have 3 or 4 jitte yet or if hondens are a problem.

This is what I've got so far:
26 creatures
4 Isamaru, hound of konda
4 Bushi Tenderfoot
4 Devoted retainer
4 Samurai of the Pale Curtain
4 Konda's Hatamoto
2 Sensei Golden-Tail
2 Kentaro, the Smiling Cat
2 Nagao, bound by honour
14 other spells
4 Blessed breathe
4 shining shoal
3 Day of Destiny
3 Umezawa's Jitte
1 Eiganjo Castle
19 plains
Sideboard
4 Kami of Ancient law
4 Otherwordly Journey
4 Reciprocate
3 Eight-and-a-Half-Tails
This is probably what I'm taking to a block tournement in my area april . If you have any suggestions I'd be glad to here them.
affektenlehre: your deck seems to be part aggro and part control
I would remove the prison, kami of false hope and kami of law to add some more aggressive cards.
armlx: like the deck list but I prefer the kami of law in the side board because not everyone is playing shrines or many enchantments and I would also get rid of the prisons your deck is aggresive so your don't need to worry about other agrresive decks but if you do throw in some hold the lines they rape aggro decks because they dont see it coming. I would be scared more about MBC. Thats what most of my side board is for and the blessed breaths.

[Land - 20]
14 Plains
2 Eiganjo Castle
4 Tranquil Garden
[Creatures - 22]
4 Samurai of the Pale Curtain
4 Kitsune Blademaster
4 Isamaru, Hound of Konda
4 Indebted Samurai
3 Isao, Enlightened Bushi *green*
3 Nagao
[Support - 14]
4 Blessed Breath
4 Otherworldly Journey
3 Terashi's Grasp
2 Shining Shoal
[Artifacts - 5]
3 Umezawa's Jitte
2 Oathkeeper, Takeno's Daisho
[Sideboard]
4 Terashi's Grasp
3 8-1/2 Tails
4 Hokori, Dust Drinker
4 Call to Glory
Terashi's Grasp - I just think the Artifacts in this block are too good to be ignored. You have to have removal for them MD because they WILL be played - also it doubles as enchantment removal. Everything else I think is self-explanatory.
Constructive comments are needed and welcome.

I think my first built definitely made my life a little bit frustrating specially playing with other builts that my friends have ... I think that this new deck can play better with 3 or 4 8.5 tails and 2 Sensei. So here it is please comment, I already smoothen the mana curve to 4.

affektenlehre: you are missing the best card in the block. You need Umezawa's Jitte. Play test with it, and you will never leave it out of any aggresive deck.

i recon its worth going for the high costing,
cos i would go green white
for the best samuri in the set and the land accel for the strong costley things, also you could easily splice for godo etc

there us a good chance that it will be banned so its not worth putting it in the deck If you look at Pro Tour Philly most people were Playing B/W/G/U gifts decks so they were playing final judgement and mostly playing anti creature so I don't see whats wrong with jitte's. If I were buying them for how expensive they are I might be afraid to buy them or play them. I like this Idea but I see White/red samurai common place so I would Attempt W/G Samurai and or W/G/B and see if that version works. I don't see why you have to play red in this deck. I see red makes samurai decks really good but I don't think you should have to play with it red.
This is my deck list:
4x Devoted Retainer
4x Samurai of the Pale Curtain
4x Konda's Hatamoto
4x Kitsune Blademaster
1x Isamoru Hound of Konda
2x Nagao Bound By Honor
2x Sensi the Golden Tail
2x Kentaro the Smilling Cat
1x Masako the Humorless
2x Isao, Englightened Bushi
1x Patron of the Kitsune
4x Umezwa's Jitte
2x Konda's Banner
2x Shining Shoal
3x Call to the Glory
20x Plains
2x Forest
Maybe this could be W/G/B samurai? I see W/G samurai not have a lot of creature control except jitte's. Usually you need red but I don't want to make the typical version that is W/R or if its green W/R/G. I have seen some people at PT Philly submit a W/G version I imagine they didn't fair to well but I think this version of samurai is cool.
