{Episode One} - The Next Champion
The year is 2100 and Life seemed like there would be no bumps along the way and no mistakes made, but this is not true for one boy. this certain boy had a special gift, the problem was, that no one understood him so they abandoned him and left him to grow up and mature on his own. You see, he was able to see things to come and everything from before now, he would know when someone was going to fall and anything else. this is his story, how his entire life changed and how he changed the lives of many. And this is where our story begins...
Jiro Masaku was of an age of 16 winters, and he was an orphan with no home, and he lived in the alleyway near a Duel Monsters card shop. Every day Jiro went inside and the shop owner welcomed him with a smile and showwed him all of the new shipments of cards. he loved duel monsters so much and wanted to own his own cards someday.
One day the shop owner went up to him, he was holding something behind his back, and Jiro wondered what it was.

Jiro: Good morning! how are you doing today sir?
Shop Owner: i'm doing fine thanx for asking, i have something for you...
Jiro: What is it?
Shop Owner: i saved one pack of cards for you, from todays shipment. i know that you have always hoped you might be able to own some cards some day, so here you go.
Jiro: Thank you so much!

Jiro went to the shop owner thanked him graciously for the cards, then he opened the pack and here's what was inside...

Shop Owner: what do you mean?

Jiro shows him the card the and says

Jiro: wait, it says something on the back.

Jiro read it aloud...

Jiro: "To the person who recieves this card, finding this card will change your life forever. if you show this card to the entrance to Duel Monsters Inc. you will recieve prizes unseen by human eyes..."
Shop Owner: Jiro! now all of your dreams can come true! run! run to Duel Monsters Inc.!

Jiro ran and ran, all of his wildest dreams were about to come true, all those years being alone and having nothing to hope for. his life was going to change for the better for once! Jiro was completely out of breath when he made it to Duel Monsters Inc. there was a man standing guard.

Guard: what is your business here?
Jiro: I'm the prize winner, it says here that i must present this card to the entrance to Duel Monsters Inc.

Jiro showed the guard the blank card

Guard: i never heard of such a contest, it must have been a misprint
Jiro:but it says right here that i....
Guard: you must be trying to steal something, get out of here!

with all of his dreams crushed in an instant, he started walking back to his alleyway, with every bit of hope lost...
when a man came out of the gate...

Man: wait!! i saw you at the gate and i could tell you were the prize winner.

the man faced the guard and this is what he said...

Man: how dare you crush this boys dream! he is the winner of the contest! or did u forget again?
Guard: but! but! o man i must have forgotten again, i'm sorry Mr. Masaku...

that word flashed through his mind, Mr. Masaku, Masaku was his last name too!

Jiro: excuse me sir but do i have any relation to you? because my last name is Masaku
Mr. Masaku: o my goodness! it's you! i am your fathers brother, when i heard that they abandoned you i tried finding you! but i couldn't find you. now that i found you i have to show you shomething...

Jiro followed his uncle past the gate and they went through the doors of Duel Monsters Inc.

Mr. Masaku: through these doors awaits prizes that you will never believe. Open the doors...

Jiro opens the doors and....

{Episode Two} - Revealing of Dreams

Jiro opened the doors and he entered into an amazing room filled with machines and thousands maybe millions of packs everywhere, more than he had ever seen in his entire life.

Jiro: this is amazing! do i get to keep a couple of packs Uncle?

Mr. Masaku: just a couple of pack, (he laughs), thats a good one, when for a fact, all of these packs are yours. and you are now a employee of Duel Monsters Inc. you get to test and create some of the new cards that we release. you have an entirely new life now...


Jiro burst into tears and ran to give his Uncle a hug.

Mr. Masaku: is something wrong? why are you crying?

Jiro: i'm not sad, it's just that i'm so happy. my dream was to own enough cards to duel with and now i can do that.

Mr. Masaku: now, how about we get to opening your packs, then these machines are to sort them into a portable system i just developed, it will revolutionize the duel industry completely, and even outmatch Kaiba Corp. in development of Virtual dueling systems.


Jiro's uncle handed him a small handheld device, with the words C.D.M. on the back of it, it was silver colored and had a slot that looked just big enough for a duel monsters card to fit in, it had a screen and 6 buttons on it, 3 above the screen and 3 below it. jiro was marvelled by it and found a groove for sliding cards through.

Jiro: how do i activate it?

Mr. Masaku: To activate the Compact Deck Module (thats what C.D.M. stood for) you must slide this Duelist ID through the groove. here you go...


he handed Jiro a pass that had all of his information on it, from his birthdate to his height. it had everything about him, and it was an electronic pass card.
Jiro slid the pass through the CDM and it flashed a white light and scanned his eye.

(CDM): [in an eletronic voice] Hello Jiro Masaku, and may i introduce myself, i am the Compact Deck Module, or CDM for short, i am an electonic storage device for any quantinty of cards, to start the process of adding your collection insert your cards in piles of 20 into the slot in the side of me...

An arrow was flashing directing where the slot was.

Mr. Masaku: Now then shall we start opening these packs?

Jiro: Yes, lets start!

Jiro and his uncle started opening the packs and adding them to the CDM, it took them a whole 3 hours to finish but they finally did. As they opened them they explained their lives to each other, Mr. Masaku told Jiro of how he took over for Maxamillion Pegasus when he died. when he took over he made Duel Monsters Inc. a booming company. the stocks rose far above what they were... heres the conversation they had.

Mr.Masaku: ...and since the stocks rose it created new jobs for the people around here and it became the the beautiful city it is now.

Jiro: wow! so since you took over for Pegasus you helped the city become what it is now?

Mr. Masaku: yes, what about you Jiro, i want to hear your story.

Jiro: well, here i go, (Inside jiro's mind he flashed back to when he was 7 winters...) when i was 7 i moved into the alleyway near a card shop, i instantly became addicted to duel monsters, the owner of the shop, Mr. Feagon, would allow me into his shop for something to eat and to see the new shipments of cards that came in before anyone else, he was one of the only people that cared for me, and every once in a while passing people would give me money for food. i thanked them and i knew that i wouldn't last very long, but i did, i stood strong and lived life as full as i could. and until today i had not owned a single card, but i had loved duel monsters none the less.

Mr. Masaku: that is a very touching story Jiro i wish i had found you sooner, then i might have been able to give you a better life than you had.

Jiro: but if you had done that i wouldn't have loved the game of duel monsters as much as i do now, i would have probably become a rich spoiled brat that only care for himself.

Mr. Masaku: thats true Jiro, and you also wouldn't be the straping young lad you are now.

after they had finished adding all the cards they took count of how many cards were in the CDM,

(CDM): this module contains over 6000 cards in total.

Jiro: wow! 6000 cards! i didn't even know that there was that many cards in existence!

Mr. Masaku: well there is, after i took over for Mr. Pegasus i made more cards then he had ever made. and jiro i forgot to mention something, this is the prototype CDM. you get to test it. but before that you can create a few of your own cards...

Jiro: Really?! well then lets get started i have some ideas...

Jiro: How're these uncle?

Mr. Masaku: They are phenomenal Jiro! how did you come up with ideas like this?

Jiro: Well, i've always wnated to create cards like this, but i never had a way to make them.

Mr. Masaku: Let's create them and then add them to the CDM.

so Jiro and his uncle worked and worked untill they finished creating the cards.

Mr. Masaku: And you wanna know something Jiro? you will be the one and only holder of these cards. no one else will ever be able to get them.

Jiro: Thats amazing!

Mr. Masaku: Now that we're finished how about you make a deck and test out the CDM in this new Duel Disk i also created.

Jiro created his deck with care and put his heart into every card he picked. he finaly finished constructing his first real deck.

Mr. Masaku: Now Jiro, insert the CDM into the Duel Disk

Jiro did what he said and inserted his CDM into, the Odd Duel Disk he was wearing, it was only an armband connected to a casing that held the CDM, but when he inserted the CDM, three rods jutted out from the duel disk and created a holographic area for him to place his cards, and it was solid as if it was real metel. His CDM processed the duel information

Let the duel commence!

Jiro: i'll start things off, (five cards come out of his CDM, and then one more indicating his draw phase.) Hmmm... i'll play Ruby Dragon on the field in attack position! (a dragon made completely of Rubies emerges to the field) and put this card face-down. I end.

/Computer\ (Draws a card, plays one card face-down and summons Solar-Flare Dragon to the field.)

Jiro:When you summon your monster i'll activate my quick-play spell card, Gem Spike! (a spike goes through Solar-Flare Dragon and it is destroyed.) Now your field is cleared and open for a direct attack!

The computer continues...

(Computer activates Dark Hole and Ruby Dragon is destroyed)

Jiro: when Ruby Dragon is destroyed i can add Emerald Dragon to my hand! (Emerald Dragon comes out of the CDM)

(Computer ends)

Jiro: My turn! and i'll activate the field spell card, Crystal Cave!
(a cave filled with shimmering crystals appeares around them.) this card increases the attack of my Dragons by 500 points. then i play Dragon Sculpter in attack position and tribute it to summon Crystal Dragon to the field. Then, I Tribute my Crystal Dragon to special summon Crystal Wyvern Dragon from my hand! with a grand total of 3550 attack he is more than a match for almost anything in your deck. Then to make sure that you have no way to stop my dragons attack i play Mystical Space Typhoon which destroys your face-down. then i attack with My Crystal Wyvern Dragon! i play one card face-down, then i end.

Jiro: 4000
Computer: 450

Jiro: Your turn, oh and the card you drew won't help you at all (Jiro's gift had been usued without his knowledge! now he could see the card his opponent was going to draw before he drew it!)
(the computer plays Monster Reborn and special summons Solar-Flare Dragon to the Field. then he summons another Solar-Flare Dragon. the computer ends and Jiro takes 1000 points of damage from double Solar Flare Dragons.)

Jiro: 3000
Computer: 450

Jiro: A minor setback, but no harm. i activate my face-down trap, call of the haunted! it brings back my Dragon Sculpter and i tribute him again but this time i special summon Sapphire Dragon! Then heres where the fun part starts....
I Sacrifice Sapphire Dragon the special summon Amythest Dragon to the field! with his effect i can remove one monster from the grave to destroy a monster on your side of the field, and i destroy one of your Solar-Flare Dragons! now that you don't have any pyro monsters on your side of the field, i can attack him! Crystal Wyvern Dragon, finish this!

the duel was finished, and Jiro had won his first duel, ever! he was so exilerated from the duel that he wanted to duel again, and again and again until those agains turned into 19 more duels, and he won every single one of them. almost flawlessly, every move perfectly executed with complete accuracy.

Mr. Masaku: Jiro i think you're done for today, you did amazing! i've never seen anyone duel so well and on their first try, all the people we tested with the computer lost all 32 of them, well not all of them 2 of them won. one was a cumputer simulation of yugi from back when duel monsters was new. and the other was....

a boy walks into the room...

Boy: Yo, Mr. Masaku! i've got something to show you... hey who the hekc is that kid? My name is Gregory, Gregory Flamberg. my father owns lots of stock and stuff in this company so i get to hang out and stuff, you know.

Jiro: nice to meet you Gregory, would you want to duel?

Gregory: duel an ametuer like you? HA! i'm the reigning champ of Duel Monsters in the United States! you have no chance of beating me.

Mr. Masaku: Actually Gregory, Jiro won 20 duels against the computer, if i rember correctly you only won once, am i right?

Gregory: Ehh! whatever, i could've won more if i waned to, but i was tired. but i guess i'll take on this ametuer. i'll take him down in no time at all.

Jiro: Alright then lets duel!

Gregory put on a duel disk and inserts his CDM into it.


(CDM): Now Processing Duelist Information.....

{Episode Four} - The Duel of the Century


Gregory: I'll start this up and running with one monster in face-down defense position. and one card face down. i end

Jiro: alright then, i draw, hmmm... lets see here. i summon Crystal Dragon to the field! then i play one card face-down and attack your monster.

Gregory: My monster is Medieval Squire! when it is destroyed as a result of battle i can special summon one Medieval Knight to the field, but since he was special summoned with Medieval Squire, he gains 400 attack points! his attack is now 2000.

Jiro: I end my turn. go

Gregory: is that is? just like any ametuer, can't make a move to save his life. anyway, to continue with my turn. I play the field spell card Medieval Castle! when a "Medieval" monster on my side of the field is destroyed i can pay 500 lifepoints to return him to my deck. then i attack your Crystal Dragon!

Jiro: 3900
Gregory: 4000

Gregory: Your turn, lets see what you can do.

Jiro: if you say so Gregory! i draw, then i activate call of the haunted to bring back my Crystal Dragon to the field! but he won't be there very long because i tribute him to summon Crystal Wyvern Dragon! with a grand total of 3050 attack points! then i activate Gem Spike to destroy your Medieval Knight!

Gregory: I was waiting for you to try something like that, i activate Impenetrable Armor! when you activate an effect that would destroy a monster on my side of the field, i can negate the effect, and then i can choose one monster on my side of the field, and that monster cannot be destroyed as a result of battle!

Jiro: doesn't matter you still take damage to your lifepoints! i attack with Crystal Wyvern Dragon!

Gregory: ahhhh!!

Jiro: Now who's the ametuer?

Gregory: you just got lucky, is it my turn?

Jiro: i play one face down card, then i end

Gregory: ([thoughts inside his head]i need to destroy that Crystal Wyvern Dragon, if i can't i'm dead!) i draw (yes, just the card i needed) i play pot of greed! then i activate monster reborn to special summon Medieval Squire to my field! but he won't be there long, i play rank up! which allows me to summon a monster with one rank higher than the monster i tribute. so i summon another Medieval Knight! then i activate Magical Knights Armor! i get to summon one "Magical Knight to my side of the field. when he is summoned i can add a mgic or trap to my hand and i choose rank up! which i activate on my Medieval Knight. and summon Medieval Lord to my side of the field! he has 2300 attack, then i play two cards face down and end. did u follow all that, or do i need to explain it all to you again.

Jiro: i followed, but all that work for nothing. i activate Graceful Charity, draw three cards and discard Ruby Dragon and Emerald Dragon from my hand, now my Crystal Wyvern Dragon has 3250 attack! then i attack your Medieval Lord,

Gregory: Ha! i activate Imedient Rank up! it increases the rank of my monster so i summon Medieval King! he has 2800 attack, then i activate Calvary Charge which increases his attack by 400, he has 3200 attack

Jiro: still not enought to Stop my Crytal Wyvern Dragon!

Medieval King is destroyed

Gregory: i use Medieval Castles ability to return Medieval King to my deck.

Jiro: 3900
Gregory: 2400

Jiro: i end by playing Crystal Cave! my Crystal Wyvern Dragon has 3750 attack! and i also play one card face-down, go

Gregory: i draw, then i play, Medieval Catapult! i can tribute one monster to deal damage equal to half of the monsters attack to your lifepoints, but the monster tributed is remved from play instead of going to the graveyard. i sacrifice Magical Knight to deal 1100 damge to you!

Jiro: 2800
Gregory: 2400

Gregory: Then i play one card face-down, go.

Jiro: my turn, i draw and play one card face down and play Recrystalization! i can special summon one of my Gem Dragons from my graveyard, and i choose Opal Dragon! then i activate my other magic card, Bait Doll. i can force the activation of one face-down trap, if the timing is correct then it's effect is activated. i choose my face down card, which is Ring of Destruction! i destroy my Opal Dragon to deal 2400 dmage to both of our lifepoints!

Gregory's lifepoint counter hits zero, and the duel is over...

Jiro: That was an awesome duel Gregory! lets duel again sometime!

Gregory: Yea sure, you're a pretty good duelist, i might think about it.

Mr. Masaku took Jiro back to his house, which was bigger than Jiro had ever seen in his life! he was amazed by everything that they passed and asked hi uncle about the histories of certain items.

Mr. Masaku: here is your personal Butler, Fredric.

Fredric: nice to meet you master Jiro, will you be needing anything at the moment?

Jiro: nothing right now, but i'm really tired from today, could i get some sleep?

Fredric: Yes of course! follow me.

Jiro followed him to a room, almost three times bigger than the alleyway he used to live in, and there was a bed, a dresser, a computer, and a large T.V.

Jiro: This is wonderful! i think that i will go to sleep right now, goodnight Fredric.

Fredric: goodnight sir

Jiro fell alseep very fast, he had had the best day in his entre life today. and he was exausted. he dreamed of the duels he had that day, and they went over and over in his mind going over his strategies that he and his opponents used...

{Episode Five} - A New Legacy

Jiro woke the next day with thoughts of more duels, But then it happend again. Something had triggered his gift, he saw him and another boy walking as friends. He now knew what was in store for him, but unknown to him today would be more than what he saw. Fredric came in after Jiro woke up...

Fredric: god morning sir, would you like something to eat? or would you rather have coffee or hot chocolate this morning?

Jiro: Thank you fredric, i would like some waffles and i'll take up your offer on the hot chocolate, can i have marshmellows too?

Fredric: Yes of course Mr. Masaku, Sir.

Jiro got up and went to his dresser, which was already miraculously filled with clothes. He guessed that his uncle had bought them during the night. He looked for his CDM but ti was nowhere to be found. He finally gave up when fredric came into the room with his food.

Jiro: Thank you fredric, did you sleep well last night? i know I did.

Fredric: To be honest sir I was up all night attending to all of the things your uncle wished me to do, so I am positvly exausted.

Jiro: Thats too bad, you know what i'm going to do for you Fredric?

Fredric: Yes Sir?

Jiro: I'm going to give you the day off today, do whatever you want with it!

Fredric: Oh Thank you sir! you are very kind.

Jiro: One thing before you go Fredric.

Fredric: What's that sir?

Jiro: Why do you have to call me sir? you don't have to be so formal around me, you can call me Jiro.

Fredric: Whatever you want Jiro, and thank you once agan!

Jiro: You're Welcome.

Fredric left and Jiro went to go find his uncle, he walked down the hall noticing how imensly big this house was! He found his uncle in the lab wroking on something...

Jiro: what're you working on uncle?

when jiro said that it startled his uncle

Mr. Masaku: you scared me Jiro! But anyway, I'm working on your CDM.

Jiro: Are you upgrading them or something? I was worried thid morning when i couldn't find it.

Mr. Masaku: i'm sorry I worried you, but i thought of something last night when i was trying to get to sleep, the thought entered my mind. Why couldn't i make a program in the CDM that allowed you to create cards on the go! so i've been working since 1:00 am on it.

Jiro: Uncle, can you really do that?! that's amazing! I can't wait for it to be complete!

Mr. Masaku: Then i guess you don't have to wait, I also gave your CDM a new protective shell and had your name ingraved in it.

He handed the CDM to Jiro, it was much more sleek and was smoother. There was also a clip installed. It was like he had completely redone it!

Jiro: Thanks Uncle!!

Jiro left him and went out to the town to see what it was like, then he decided to stop by the card shop, he found the owner their and he greeted him, but didn't notice who he was looking at...

Mr. Feagon: it's nice to meet you, by the way what's your name??

Jiro: You don't remember me Mr. Feagon? it's me, Jiro Masaku!

Mr. Feagon: oh my gosh! i didn't recognize you Jiro! you look so happy now!

Jiro: all thanks to that pack you gave me, thank you so much.

Right as they were getting re-aquainted a boy walked into the store...

Boy: I'm interested in buying some of the new packs that just came out, do you have some i can buy?

Mr. Feagon: why yes, i do i have a whole crate of them in the back, how many do you want?

Boy: I'll take 10 packs

Mr. Feagon goes to the back and Jiro introduces himslef to the boy while he's gone...

Jiro: hello, my name is Jiro. i can see that you like duel monsters too, you wana duel sometime?

Boy: nice to meet you Jiro, my name is Hirosha Okotao

Jiro: nice to meet you too Hirosha

Mr. Feagon comes back with the packs that Hirosha wanted, he paid for them and then he said

Hirosha: you want to help me out with these?

Jiro: sure

They opened the packs and talked while they were opening them. they both had a great passion for duel monsters.

Jiro: you got some pretty good cards Hirosha

Hirosha: thanks, you wanna duel now?

Jiro: Definately!

This story is awesome!!!!! Industrial Illusions (Or did the name change to Duel Monsters Inc.?) being better than Kaiba Corp. The C.D.M. (which was a GREAT idea by the way. Just remodeling the Duel Disk isn't enough.) Tons of great ideas like the Gem Dragons.

i'm sorry guys but i lost ideas for this and i lost my motive and it seems like no one is interested, so unless someone wants to pm me with ideas for continuing this i'm probably gonna give up on it.
