500 and Done

Since not all of you go to the main site, I thought I would post something here... My 500th and final article (http://pokemon.tcgplayer.com/db/article.asp?id=487) went up today. As I had written more and more articles, it simply became more time-consuming. With less time to spend on writing and a weakened interest (you have to admit- most people would never even get close to 500), I finally decided on 500 to be my finishing point. It seemed like the perfect time.

Providing all of this material to Pokeschool not only gave me something to do, but it was certainly a reward. I always enjoyed receiving email and hearing back from the readers. I only wish more people would have written their own articles and contributed more other material. And with my retirement from Pokeschool, it becomes even more important for each of you to contribute in any way. I don't know exactly what Chedy has planned, but I am sure he will gladly take your articles.

I still will stick around the forums and you will still be able to contact me. I use that for everything.)

Thanks Baboon for reviewing cards which I asked you to rate. I think your contribution to Pokeschool has been great and it wouldnt be Pokeschool without you.

I've also been a bit slack with submitting PotWs cause i've been really busy with Christmas presents, games and tv boxsets. I also got school work to do in the holidays for my final schooling year so it's been very hard to submit stuff. I'll get right on the next PotW though and send it through :) Btw, now that your retired, do I still send 'em to you or not?

When you said your finishing date was somewhere in the near future I didn't think it'd be this soon. It does seem like the perfect time, too - 500th article, New Years Day. A perfect time for change :)

I hope all the work you've done for Pokeschool is greatly appreciated by the entire staff, because if it hadn't been for you the main site really would have been dead. Aside from just posting articles you repeatedly attempted to rally interest from others, and even if it didn't have the effect you would've liked at least you kept at it.

Absolutely. 500 articles, that's just amazing, the time and the effort you've put into Pokéschool. I'll admit the TCG hasn't ever really been my thing, but it was always a pleasure to read your articles, which made it a heck of a lot more interesting. And, more recently, your contribution to the site after Magmar2000 left, so thank you for all your hard work to Pokéschool.

Blast. I go away for a few weeks, and our beloved Baboon collapses. :p Seriously, congratulations, man. I'm really glad to see that you've made it this far, though it does sadden me to see the end of the best articles on the Pokemon TCG. At least we still have you to keep us company. Happy 500, man!
