Yah, we're getting a bit ahead of ourselves...but come on, the block format is one of the most exciting times of the year! Ravnica offers some juicy temptations, and a lot of multicolor goodness.
What do you foresee as the early RAV block frontrunners?

Right now I'm running GB Dredge:
3 Greater Mossdog
4 Shambling Shell
4 Stinkweed Imp
4 Darkblast
4 Last Gasp
4 Putrefy
2 Grave shell Scarab
3 Golgari Grave Troll
4 Life from the Loam
2 Plague Boiler
2 Recollect
3 Vinelasher Kudzu
3 Svogthos, the Restless Tomb
6 Forest
6 Swamp
4 Overgrown Tomb
4 Golgari Rot Farm
SB:
2 Nightmare Void
4 Necroplasm
2 Plague Boiler
4 Sundering Vitae
1 Dark Heart of the Wood
The basic idea is to control until you can beat down with recurring fatties that keep getting bigger every time you dredge. Either Loam + Svogthos or just the troll in your yard is usually enough. The synergy in this deck is great:
Loam + Svogthos: get the Tomb back, make it bigger by dredging, repeat
Grave troll + any dredge: This guy is a machine. Makes himself (and Svogthos) 2-3 points bigger every time you dredge him back, AND regenerates.
Loam + vinelasher: pretty much continuous growth
Vinelasher + Rot farm: =4/4 Kudzu (play vinelasher, play land, next turn play farm, next turn replay the land you returned to your hand.)
Plague Boiler + Svogthos: sweep the board and then charge across.
The sideboard choices:
Void is obviously for the control match-ups. Necroplasm shines against GW Glare decks. The sundering vitae and extra boilers help against random enchantment or artifact-based strategies. Dark heart of the wood is for aggro matchups and also combo's well with loam.

As of right now it looks like G/B control.
3 W/B Control Creature
3 Graveshell Scarab
4 Puetrfy
4 Last Gasp
4 W/B Puetrfy (enchantment or creature)
4 Plauge Boiler
4 Rolling Spoil (g LD the give all creatures -1/-1 until end of turn if you pay b)
4 Recollect
4 W/B Distress (rfg the card)
2 Necroplasm
24 land
or a g/w token deck with all the token cards and hour of reckoning and glare of subdule.
4 Loxodon Hierarch
4 G/W guildmage
4 W/G elf that makes saporlings for tapping a creature.
4 Convoke 5 cc g card that makes 3 tokens
4 fist of the ironwood
4 Faiths Featers
2 Seed Spark
4 Glare of Subdule
3 Hour of reckoning
3 land that makes saporlins
20 other land
Maybe a r/w/g aggro deck thats alot like the zoo in extended watchwolfs, swiftblades, helix, modervine cloak etc.

seeing how block will be all three sets, i think maybe a B/W/R aggro deck is possilbe, with helixes, confidants, Swiftblades, Skynights, plus many new cards in sets to come i think it should be good.

Its Obviouse that GB as of right now should be the top contender but I wouldnt be surprissed if Dimir mill made a stand either but Id be more willing to say that the surprise of the format come summer will be Aura's, they have the potential to be a wrecking ball without a strong counter-based controll deck in the format.
R/W/B or even R/W/U G/B is not a bad choice either.

it's way too early to tell what will be good in block. two sets are still to come out. and someone mentioned no good counter-based control deck in the format... well so far there are two good countermagic spells in just the first set so i dont think anyone can jump to that conclusion yet. i you want to base good decks on right now with just ravnica like whats being played online, then youve got zoo which is good, g/w glare is really good, r/w meditation is ok, and basicaly and g/x based aggro deck like a BuG or GWb will be viable. ive also heard talk of an eye of the storm deck but havent seen it in action so im not going to comment on it just yet.

Early Magic Online tournaments have G/W/r Glare at the front with B/G seeing play and some other whacky decks.
Glare is doing the best.

Im a huge control player ( especially u/w, mono white, and mono blue) so of course I am currently working on a Mono Blue list that runs Plague Boilers and Golgari Signets also. Its interesting, and once I post the list, you guys can decide for yourselves. As of now, it isnt that good, but im expecting that to change once Guildpact comes out. Mark my words, I will have a Mono Blue Control deck or my name isnt....um, give me a second, i gotta remember what my name is. Oh, Terrence, thats right.
