Have you read the latest? I have been wanting to read more by him but have been in a rut ever since Jordan started to suck so badly and Goodkind kind of stalled out.

I never got into Goodkind, but I was a fan of Jordan for the first several books of his series. He definitely stalled out in disappointing fashion. So far Martin has managed to avoid that fate as far as I'm concerned. I did read the latest and it continues to be as fast paced and entertaining as the previous three books. Nobody can kill off his major characters like this guy does. It's ruthless.

If you are a Martin fan I also reccommend Fevre Dream if you haven't read that.

Well we can't expect all the books to be exciting. Things are picking up again in book 11 of Jordan's WOT series. I will have to take your word for it. The last couple books ruined it for me. Also, 11 books is ridiculous. He is milking it.

The first book in the series is called A Game of Thrones. And do you think we would bother discussing it if we didn't think it was interesting?

I was just wondering. Anyway, you are correct about 11 books being ridiculous. Fortunately, it is the second to last book.

As for Martin, I'll have to check it out. This time, I will have to take your word for it.
