What does everyone think of Family Guy?

It's pretty funny but I wouldnt go out of my way to try and watch it. The humor in American Dad is more to my liking.

Well, basically the only shows I laugh at are Viva La Bam and ATHF...but I just like watching family guy.

Speaking of Aqua Teen, is Tom Goes to The Mayor still on adult swim? I don't bother paying for cable so I don't know what is current. This show always has me in stitches though whenever I happen to catch it.

I actually knew Seth back in college at RISD, and he was nowhere near as funny in real life as he writes. It came as a total shock that it was the same guy I used to have a smoke with back in the old days.

Also, he had a lot longer hair then, so maybe he was just smoking a lot of dope then.

family guy is awesome. well.....a lot of the time anyway. American Dad is good too. those two shows are the best shows as far as quotes go. btw, has ny1 here ever seen O'Grady?

How can you like Family Guy? Its blasphemes. They are always insulting God. I used to like it then I saw the episode were they make fun of Rush Hour. And they included Jesus in it. They Showed Jesus smoking pot and blasting people with a machine gun. And thats not all. Peter is always making fun of Jesus.

IMO the only things they make fun of is ignorance and hubris. If it looks like they're making fun of G-d, they are probably making fun of people who are making fun of G-d.

will I just don't give a crap it is funny it is so good and besides my mouth has have so many cursing words in it that anything they say will probably will not be new to me but then again I have seen Dave chapelle show seasons 1 and 2 alot so I know all my curs words bye now but I sill love to see Family Guy and lol at it.

by far the greatest moments on Family GUy would have to be:

Peter goes to feminie camp and comes back all gay. Then he tries to breast-feed stewie and stewie doesnt realize until he pulls a hair out of his mouth. I was laughing for hours.

The end of the episode where they practically reinact the end of SW Ep. 4 after peter becomes a hero. Man, that was great.

That's what makes it so funny.

Like the Simpsons it slags off conservative white Christian America. Unlike the Simpsons, it doesn't pull its punches.

South Park, on the other hand, has no particular prejudices: it just rips the piss out of everybody.

Family Guy would improve if they didn't rely so heavily on pop culture references for the humor. It's fine, the writers just seem to use it as a fallback quite often.

They are sitcom writers, after all. Which means they're just out of rehab and probably pedophiles and commies, and the dope they've done makes it so they have to quote current events, as they have no long-term memories.
